Chapter Three:
To Put Ones Life on the Line.
It didnt take long before Hitake reached home,as he walked in, he noticed that the girl he had found in the forest was sitting on the sofa with his mother. It was clear to Hitake that his mother had borrowed the girl some of her old clothes.He quickly greeted them.
"Hi"
He then swiftly walked into the kitchen just as they broke out of their conversation to reply to him.He knew it wasn't the politest thing to do,but he was simply to tired to get into a long talk right now.When he went into the kitchen,he saw three bowls of ramen,and a bowl of fried and boiled meats waiting for him.At that moment,it became clear to Hitake how hungry he actually was,he raced over to the bowls,using his chop sticks,and started to gorge himself in the food.
While eating,he listened to what his mother and the strange girl were talking about.Much of it was things he wasnt intrested in,he learnt a few things such as her chest size,however just as he started on his second bowl of ramen,he started to hear things that confused,and intrested him.He listened closely as his mother asked
"So what exactly is your name again?"
The girl replied with a answer that amused him at first but slowly started to astound him.Regret at his previous thoughts began to rush over him as he heard her say.
"I dont know...I cant remember anything"
His mother replied in a way he knew she would,as it was the same way she had replied to him when they first met.
"Oh you poor girl,i know if you want i can give you a name,how about Lucy?"
The girl had seemed delighted at the name,and to his disatisfaction,she squealed in joy.
"Thank you I love it.My name is LUCY!!
The sound pierced his ears.
"Im glad you like it."
They continued to coverse,at which point Hitake drifted off,and started to focus more on eating.However he couldnt help but wonder who exactly this girl was,and why here chakra seemed so strange,he had little sensory ability,but he at least had the basics,and instantly knew this girls chakra was not normal,so he had decided to keep a close eye on her,incase she turned out to be a enemy infiltraitor.
It didnt take him long to devour all four of the bowls,he had a garganteous appetite,and his mothers cooking was always the best.He walked through the living room again,however before he could reach the stairs,the girl stood up and began to speak to him.
"Hello my names Lucy...
You dont say,thought Hitake.
"...I just wanted to thank you for bringing me here from the forest,im not quite sure what i was doing in the forest,but im sure if it were not for you i would have died,thank you for everything."
Hitake quickly turned his nose up,he hated being thanked,he didnt want to be a "hero" so he ignored her and continued towards the stairs however just before he reached the stairs,he had a sudden change of heart,and quickly replied with.
"Eh..Dont mention it."
At that moment the girl ran up to Hitake and hugged him,under his breath so that no one would hear he quickly muttered
"Dang why cant all chicks be this grateful"
However Lucy had cleary heard him as she began to squeeze even tighter.Then at that moment a banging noise filled the room he looked at the door,as it was the clear source of the noise and as he did he heard someone shout.
"Hitake Hitake,come quick,the bandits are back,and this time their boss is here."
It was obvious that the person at the door was crying,and Hitake quickly realised it was Hanuro,Hanuro was in essence Hitake's little brother,he was around 11 and looked up to Hitake,they wern't blood brothers of course,but their bond was as strong as if they were.He quickly shurgged off the girls embrace,and walked to open the door,as he walked past the girl,he noticed that there were strange intricate markings on the back of her neck,they were the same colour as the markings of the goop thatshe had been covered in,but were of a lighter shade,the markings stood out on here tanned olive skin,and for some reason the markings were odly familiar,he figured that the markings probably ran all the way down her back.If it were any other time,he would have inquired,but right now there were more pressing matters.As he unlatched the door,Hanuro burst into the house,and immeaditly cried
"Hitake please come quick,the bandits returned,Hitake."
He saw no reason why the other ninja's could handle it so he quickly replied with
"What about the other chuunins,and what about the elite Jounins that still remain in the village?"
Hanuro quickly replied with
"The elite jounins left the village after a missing bingo book'ed A class ninja he was up to no good in the area,so they went to sort it out,the chuunins are getting beaten up Hitake,you gotta save them!!"
"Okay okay,wait here with mother Sakume okay?"
What the boy said next was nearly incomprhenedable,however what he did hear was something that stabbed into his heart,he heard Haruno say that they had injured Gekko,Gekko was their pet dog,he had originaly been Hitakes,but on Haruno's 10th birthday,he had given the dog to Haruno to keep.Now he was pissed,his vein on his forehead throbbed,and he instantly decided that whoever these men were,he'd kill them or die trying,that was his final resolve!.
Before anyone could say anything,Hitake raced out of the door into the street,it didnt take Hitake long to notice where the chaos was commencing,and he instantly leaped onto a nearby rooftop,and began to charge down the road,leaping from house to house,and aiming to be as quite as possible.While he began his leap however,he had heard Lucy call something out to him,however in his urgency he had ignored her.The moon was full,as Hitake raced towards the destructive bandits...
It didnt take long before Hitake was only feet away from the bandits,he remained on the roof tops,suppressing his chakra so as to not alert them of his positon. He quickly scanned the area,he noticed that there were roughly twelve bandits that were still standing,there were eight bandits that were on the floor not moving,and five of his Hidden Leaf comrades were strewn on the ground,either writhing and grunting in pain,or not moving at all.
After a short time of observation,he quickly decuded the man who he guessed from the way that the others acted,was their boss.He was a bald man of a rather large build,he had a large double bladed broadaxe on his back,and stood there ordering the rest of the bandits their commands.It didnt take him long to spot Gekko's body either,he was slumped on the floor bleeding,but thankfully he was still twitching and uttered a wimper or two every now and again.However the sight angered Hitake,and instead of formulating a plan,he jump off the roof,kunai in his right had,straight towards the bald man.
Just as Hitake was about to begin his slash,a short man intercepted Hitake,thrusting his own dagger against Hitake's kunai,Hitake quickly withdrew a second kunai from his pouch with his left hand,and just as he was about to slash at the person who had intercepted him,another extremely large man,quickly appeared infront of Hitake,before Hitake could react,the man slammed his palm into Hitakes chest,sending him flying backwards in mid air.
"So this is the runt who keeps beating up our subordinates."
"Yeah hes pathetic right Mr.1"
"Heh he sure is Mr.2 I guess the number brothers will deal with this chump the rest of you get back to work and follow the boss's orders,and make him a cupp'a or something"
Is what the men said while Hitake was still airbourne.
Hitake crashed into a vendor stand,winded from the mans palm thrust,at first his head buzzed and his senses dulled,but he quickly recovered to resume his counter attack,he quickly realised that these bandits were stronger than the rest.Mr 1 then began to charge at him,Hitake closed his eyes,and quickly began to compose himself,he reached for the power that remained dormant within him,however he only drew on a small amount of this unknown power,as he did not want to alert the enemies to how valuble his existance was.
Mr 1 was upon Hitake in seconds,as Hitake's eyes suddenly jolted open,he had realised before that Mr 1 was probably a Taijustu specialist,and that Mr 2 was probably a Kenjustu specialist,Hitake knew that this fight would be easy thanks to the power he was born with.Hitake saw the mans muscles bunch,and quickly predicted his movements,he guessed that the man would deliver a feint right hook,and while Hitake was stunned,he would instead roundhouse kick him with his right leg,so quickly taking this into account,Hitake began to extend and move his right arm in a clockwise circular motion,in a attempt to fool the man into thinking he was going to block his incoming right fist,when really he was aiming to grab the mans left leg when the time arised.
Then just as Hitake predicted the man began to raise his left leg,and as he did,Hitake crouched,and completing his arms circular motion,wrapped his arm around the mans left leg while sidestepping to the left.Once his arm was locked around the mans left leg,using the momentum of the mans failed right roundhousekick,Hitake span his whole body clockwise,causing the man to follow this motion,he then released the mans leg,and the man went flying into a stall to right of the stall that Hitake was standing infront of.
As Mr.2 approached him,screaming how he would get revenge for his brother Mr.1,Hitake quickly ducked low while swooping forwards,he had seen the oppening in the bandits guard,and like always he took advantage of it, swinging his right fist upwards as he jumped ,his right fist connecting with the bottom of the short mans jaw,and carrying the short man into the air as Hitake jumped.Then just as Hitake's and the Mr.2's upwards momentum began to slow,Hitake extended his right leg,and using the advantage of gravity,slammed his leg down onto the Bandits groin.Hitake then used the man as a springboard,vaulting off of the man towards the remaining 10 Lacky Bandits,he realised there was nothing special about them,and hoped he could dispatch of them all before having to engage with the boss.However mid flight,Hitake noticed several Kunai fly towards the backs of the remainding Bandits who were now looking at Hitake.The kunais struck every single one of them ,and the bandits all slumped to the floor.He looked upwards,towards where he figured the kunai came from,and ontop of the roof he saw Lucy,he couldn't help but smirk,he didnt think she was that type of girl.
He then turned his head to the left,to look at the bandit Boss,the boss was clearly infuarited,and was slowly rising from his seat,which was actually a sake barrel.Hitake quickly landed,skidding on the path,dust and sand spraying upwards form the ground as he did so.As he did,the boss started to speak
"You Lil' bratt,ohh imma enjoy killing you,im'ma pluck your eyes out and feed 'em to the birds you insignificant trash,who do you think you are coming on my turf and disrupting me."
Then the man did something that Hitake feared the most,he raised his finger towards Hitake,and out shot a lightning bolt.Hitake had very little training in ninjustu,so he hoped this man didnt have anything special,however he still had his own suprises up his sleeve.Hitake quickly enhaled a large amount of air,and spewed a large fireball,the fireball engulfed the lightning,and continued towards the man.Hitake was sure he had won as the fire ball began to engulf the man.However the man stuck his hand out through the flames,and with a sweep of his arm fanned the flames away,the mans body had aquired a dark rock like tone.
Hitake quickly realised this man would be harder to kill than he thought.Then in the blink of a eye,the man was infront of Hitake,ramming his fist into Hitake's chest.As the full impact reached Hitake he coughed a large globlue of blood as his stomach collapsed inwards and churned,he instantly realised his bottom two ribs were broken,and that he was lucky he was able to keep his food down.Hitake was sent flying backwards,and just as he did he glimpsed Lucy flying towards the bandit,left foot outstretched and about to crash into the the mans face,she was fast,faster than the bandit boss himself,but he doubted that she had the strength for her blow to be that effective.
Hitake struggled to remain concious,and after a few minutes he finally managed to stand upright,what he saw when he did,was Lucy dangling in the air,the Bandit boss's left hand wrapped tightly around her neck,with a kunai in his left hand which he was about to impale Lucy with.
"Bastard..."
Hitake uttered,as he forced his body to move,even though he realised he was far past his limit,he quickly appeared behind the man,flykicking the mans back with his right leg,sending the man reeling forwards face first into a fruit stand,his face slammed forwards onto the fruit,many of the fruits bursting onto the mans face.When the bandit turned around his face was red with fury,and a evil scowl came across his face as he wiped the fruit remains from his face.
"I want you kids to know my name before you die,Kitamantu"
The man said,then the man slammed his palm onto the ground,Hitake knew what was coming next,he and lucy were doomed.A large amount of smoke erupted,as a large crab sprung forth into existence,the crab was roughly 50 feet tall,and he knew that his pincers could kill a man in a second.Kitamantu stood on the crab chuckling,the crab then extended one pincer towards Hitake,Hitake began to run to his left,zigzagging as he did so,the pincer opened,and a volley of needles were sent racing from it towards Lucy,Lucy was on the floor,and Hitake realised she would not be able to defend himself in time.However just before the huge most likely poisnous needles reached Lucy,Hitake appeared infront of Lucy,arm outstretched;back to the needles.
Five of the needles struck Hitake in the back,while the rest missed their mark completely.
Fear and sorrow crossed Lucys face as she saw Hitake spew a large amount of blood,then suddenly,the markings on Lucys back began to glow,as they did so,a strange dark red aura began to surround Lucys as she screamed in sorrow.Hitake began to notice the aura,it then all came flooding back to him,the markings on her back,they were similar to those that surronded the seal on Naruto stomach,and the chakra at which she was starting to emit was exactly the same as .... for a moment he couldn't believe it,the chakra she was emitting was the exact same chakra of the Ninetailed Fox.Who was she?
Hitake wondered however he knew he would probably never find out,the demons chakra would probably takeover Lucy,and she would most likely kill him that is if the bald man didnt.Then just as Hitake gave up hope,he noticed that a large amount of chakra was being funneled into him,he was astounded,not only was the chakra not taking over Lucy,but she was controlling it and using it to renew Hitake's.Hitake was overwhelemd by the chakra,he wondered if he should use it to fully activate "it" he knew that he would probably still die even with so much chakra,but he couldn't think of anything else that would save him.Then suddenly just as he was about to activate it, a thought came to his mind,he knew it was a long shot but he had to try. As he harnessed the chakra he shouted
"Summoning No Justu!!!"
Slamming his palms onto the ground,then from the preeceding white smoke,a large wolf erupted,blowing away the smoke as it did so.The wolf was a blueish silver colour,with whiteish gold highlights.His eyes sparkled with both malice and a level of grandeur magnificence royalty and vigour.The wolf was at very least 100 feet tall,and at most 150 fifty feet. However he was neither stocky or skinny,but rather the perfect balance for agility grace and strength.As the Wolf was summoned,Hitake and Lucys were instantly placed on its head,as the wolf rumbled
"Hitake..."
However Hitake struggled to respond as he drifted in and out of conciousness but managed to murmur...
"Lord fang"
He tried to make out the glimpses of what he saw.The crab swiping Fang,Lord fang with grace and agility side stepping as he swiped at the crab with his claws.The crab gaining multiple scratch marks.He was also sure that at some point Lord Fang had been laughing.He managed to see the Crab being engulfed in Lord Fang's flames.The crab poof away and the scorched man beg for mercy.Then after that everything began to become a blur.
Hitake woke up,it was still night,and he looked forwards to see Kitamantu in chains,he turned to his left and saw Lucy,Sakume and Haruno by his side,he then feebly moved his head to the left to see the village healer.He swallowed as he felt a flask being pressed to his lips,and as he mother uttered the words
"Drink"
Then Hitake's eyes closed as he drifted into a deep sleep.
