Thinking About It, Naruto and Sasuke Never Had A Reason To Fight One Another.

Seriously. Outside of Kishi spinning as much yarn as he could of keeping Sasuke away from the village. The amount of vitriol and effort Sasuke put into his final fight with Naruto comes out of nowhere and has no bases. Naruto wins the fight, but the result is the same. Sasuke never goes back to the village, like Naruto had hoped and Kishi had him questing for. Outside of Kishi wanting to hype the eventual conflict between the two, Naruto and Sasuke really had no reason to slug it out.

For perspective: the Naruto vs Sasuke VOTE in Part 1 was 16 chapters. The glorified filler, that was the Kaguya arc, was 11 chapters. The war arc was 225 chapters. Naruto vs Sasuke VOTE 2, was 5 chapters at the tail end of the manga. One chapter for wrap up (699) and the chapter after that was epilogue.

Sometimes you gotta whoop ass to save someone you love and make a point. Violence is the only thing Sasuke really understood for a large majority of the manga.

You're giving people idea about Sasuke receiving a beating for pleasure =D. The fight is a way to settle the debate on who would win but end in a tie so this tell people that they are equally match. Sasuke said he lost because he couldn't get rid of Naurto.
