All of the threads about Rock being far more powerful and able to destroy Madara has been purely for fun and giggles. Madara and Obito have been required to remain in a single spot due to their connection to Juubi through the use of Mokuton.

He may have been within the league of demi, however he is mortal and DIED as everything else must, truly what do you expect...

He knew everything and could do anything. What I expect from him is that he come back to help Naruto defeating the Juubi. To me so far it have just been stupid to see Juubi itself being ass raped by a portion of Juubi itself...

He must have at least kept some of his chakra or anything like that so he would be enabled to return when the time had come (Juubi's 3rd and last transform).
