It all started in the war arc. The series wasn't perfect before that but still there was nothing that annoyed me and it was my favorite anime at the time. Then the war arc happened:
- A boring war. Ninja vs zombies. We can't sympathize or hate the enemy force because they are not alive
- Every villain is a puppet. Everyone except Kaguya
- Every villain turned good, except Madara and Kaguya
- Chakra lost its meaning all together. Remeber when Naruto had a limit of the number of rasenshurikens he could make? That gave us tension. When Naruto got light mode and eventually bijuu mode he started to became so ridiculously powerful that other shinobi became irrelevant. In reality he should be able to solo everyone if bijuu bombs and rasenshuriken didn't get nerfed.
- The sharingan. Sharingan was one of my favorite things in Naruto. But one of the things I like the most was that it was a double edged sword. When the eternal MS came to be the sharingan just became ridiculous. Pre-susano sharingan was my favorite.
- I hated the fact that rinnegan came from the sharingan. Enough with the sharingan wanking. Pains rinnegan had no apparent connection to the sharingan. Rinnegan couldn't do genjutsu, couldn't do susano, wasn't able to copy or perceive fast movements.
- We got too see legendary shinobi. That is good right? Wrong. The legendary Hanzo turned out to be a disappointment. The ninja swordsmen were barely even memorable. The other edo kage were just copies of the current kage, wtf?
- I never wanted to see Minato again, I wanted him to remain a mystery. Same goes for Hashirama, Tobirama and many other reanimated shinobi.
- The fact that guy didn't die from the eight gates
- The fact that everyone else in the rookie 9 became fodder except Naruto and Sasuke
- The fact that we have never seen the other nations before and suddenly in the summit they are friends and working together. Came out of no where

- Exposition started to become soo boring. Exposition has ALWAYS been super interesting in Naruto. The history of the Uchiha, history of the leaf, when hiruzen was younger, kakashi gaiden etc.
But it was when Itachi started the story of the Uchiha and Izanagi that it just put me off completely. Then we got the forbidden fruit, indra and ashura and kaguya, kabutos boring story etc.
