Well I like a story that ends with unanswered questions. It's what I loved about Fringe from season 1 to 5. You ALWAYS had questions. And wether they lasted a short or long time, as soon as you got the answers they were replaced with just as satisfying a mystery.

But with the Senju? My guess is since they were one of the 2 most powerful they were on the front lines the most often during the era of war. Easy to die out when you're engulfed in flames. Just a theory.

As in his nature affinity. The element he was born with/most skilled in.

Hashirama was earth and water ie Wood
Tobirama was Water
Hiruzen was Fire (being a Sarutobi an all)
Tsunade used Lightning in part 1
Kakashi had Lighting affinity as well
Naruto had Wind affinity.

Only one Hokage wasn't shown using an element. Databook only shows which elements they had.
