Things Itachi did, wanted to do, for Sasuke and The Uchiha...... with his own death!

Here is what Itachi meant to do:

Make Sasuke a hero for killing a dangerous mass murderer and S rank criminal.

Letting Sasuke avenge the Uchiha clan, technically!

Giving him the Mangekyo Sharingan with his own death, and his own eyes for when he went blind, to awaken the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan!

An Amaterasu for insurance in Sasuke's eye, in case Obito or Madara(as Itachi thought) tried to influence him. (Which failed....sadly....)

(My personal favorite)A Koto Amatsukami activation with the command "protect Konoha" for Itachi's own transplanted eyes if Sasuke should find out the truth and try to destroy the leaf village because of it. Shisui's eye was masterfully entrusted to Uzumaki Naruto!

The most important one in my opinion:-

By being the most dangerous criminal in the history of Konoha and dying by Sasuke's hand, Itachi gave Sasuke a clean slate, a fresh start, probably a medal and lots of money for disposing a known S rank criminal in the bingo book, which would lead to a wonderful life in Konoha and a chance to start the Uchiha clan over again with him as the new founder. (but oh well)

Atonement for his necessary crimes, against The Uchiha and Sasuke.

Protecting his beloved village until the end and dying as a traitor.

It's why I liked Itachi when I found out the truth, Itachi reminds me of my own brother. My older brother has done a lot for me and I'm grateful to have my older brother. It's why Itachi's my favorite character and I believe his power came from his desire to protect his village and Sasuke. Like my favorite Hokage said, "When a shinobi has something to protect, that's when their true power emerges."

sasuke wouldnt be a hero lol. he killed oro and no one cared besides naruto and sakura. if he went back with the killings of oro and itachi under his belt hed still be despised as a power hungry traitor

the thing is, why sasuke? does he have no respect for his own village's laws and judgements?

he had no idea sauske would take his eyes. without obitos influence and the battles with bee and kages he would have no reason to take them and not go blind. he didnt want itachis eyes to see what he was about to do to konoha. and if he tried that without obitos help hed probably kill himself as hes no medic.

actualy he doomed sasuke to torment and death.
first: konoha would never give him a medal for leaving konoha and joining the third's killer for 3 years. him coming back is only a sign he wants to turn himself in for his crimes and usually the kages order missing nins to be killed but tsunade was too benevolent. but itachi DIDNT KNOW THAT. naruto was hated for much less. something that wasnt even his fault. but sasuke consciously chose to do all that he did.
second: danzo would be still alive and willing to take sasukes eyes to add to his own collection. of all people itachi should not ahve underestimated danzo. danzo was planning from the start to finish what itachi didnt. with him not alive danzo had no reason to uphold the threats itachi was giving him
third: pain was on his way to get naruto. if sasuke went back hed be caught up in some impossible battle and murdered.

you mean destroy them with his selfish desire to be killed pointlessly. i dont see how hes protecting konha by wanting to sell its secrets to hostile countries.
