I mean what he whip out a kunai and go to town on it?.... and then do the same to hiself to put it in?...... hes under a rock he would have needed help to get the eye thing going on, why couldnt they have saved him? Only Sasuke saw Naruto beating Gaara. And Naruto was "famed" by it...

And Kakashi shit his pants, yeah, cause Oro is too powerful for him at that point. You saw how easy, Oro used a genjutsu on Kakashi, where Kaka lost his head. Without Kamui Kakashi has 0 chance for winning such a fight.

Don't forget, that this is part 1. Kakashi and every other shinobi had huuuuge power ups for part 2, so that the fighting scenes could become "better". The 3 legendary sanin even seem like scrap in part 1 compared to an average shinobi in part 2....

The instance where Orochimaru met up with Kakashi, and Kakashi was shitting his pants...I mean, I guess by now Oro doesn't seem THAT powerful right? But even at the time, it just seemed weird at the time that someone as powerful as Kakashi would be scared shitless by Oro.

Also, I didn't like how the Third's death overshadowed Naruto's victory over Gaara. He should have been celebrated a hero at that point.

First orochimaru is a legendary sannin so1 they are not on the same level and now that he has got his jutsu back and the body he has taken over is the clone made hashirama's DNA, besides his legendary chakra the first DNA gives him chakra boost with probably some the 1st hokage/zetsu abilities . LOOK he stood toe 2 toe with 2 sannin at half strength + his not dead, that there tells u how powerful he his.
