A Colombian thief has been filmed on CCTV mistakenly sprinting into an oncoming bus after trying to steal a woman's mobile.

The footage shows a man who has not been named, pulling an emergency lever to open the glass doors of a busy bus station in Bogota earlier this month.
He then walks past a woman and snatches her phone.
After a brief struggle with the woman the thief dashes out the door and is immediately collected by a speeding bus.
He is thrown into the air by the impact and ends up rolling under the vehicle when he lands.
Amazingly the man only suffered minor injuries.
A police officer said the man's victim ended up helping him out from under the bus, along with other horrified witnesses.
Authorities said he has a history of theft and was prosecuted upon leaving hospital.
Several accomplices were also captured hours after the incident.
