They may stalemate but i find Chidori to be superior to Rasengan

Chidori is a techniques that kills, im not saying rasengan can't kill someone but it clearly does it a lot less than Chidori

Rasengan is not..

Chidori peirces and its power is concetrated in one instance..

where as rasengan grinds at you and seems to give of a pulse sort of effect.. take the damange to the water tanks as an example.. its not that one is stronger or serperior to the other it just does different things..

bare in mind that rasengan itself is a jutsu that was still incomplete and was nothing but chakra manipulation

Exactly this. Rasengan > Chidori in terms of examples like when Naruto fought Kurama or Kakuzu. Chidori couldn't have done that

Chidori/Raikiri is MADE for assassination. They're created to pierce the target with great force. Base Rasengan is more of rapid cutting with an explosion at the end. It all depends on how much power is backed into them for one to be greater than the other.

Chidori is imperfect shape manipulation + elemental manipulation

Rasengan is perfect shape manipulation.

A elemental rasengan is superior to the chidori .
