Well at least it got a few people to stop complaining about how this wasn't a real war since no major characters have died. :dunno:
I personally feel as if he still could've grew maybe become a mintor of sorts to naruto's and hinata's ,hopefully, ninja children. Also not to mention if anyone shouldve died it should've been sakura she is just a background character all she does is stand there and there are at least 20 other ninja there that could've healed naruto so kishi just picked randomly to me and neji was what the dart landed on.
It seemed like he died for a pairing which I do not give a f*ck about it is becoming canon or not, but in the end; someone had to die.
I wish he had other chances than death to escape the destiny; it is terrible enough to see him die for a main family member and a child of prophecy .
Personally; Hinata could have die there right there right now and I would just say "meh", she still lacks dimentions.
Also it seems like the fight between Lee and him will never happen, Lee already had few but valuable goals; and he lost one of them, I hope it adds up to his development or maybe leads to 8th gate by him or Gai; othervise I do not see a point.
But it also had a an aim to bringing up the words "I will keep my real friends inside me", so it means human life is more than walking around as flesh and blood, I hope Lee and others will be manage to carry his will that they should keep alive.
But overall; he had potential, Hinata could show her own potential when he was alive too, I do not see how Neji intervenes with her potential.
And 615 was a disgrace to his death, more of his character and his bonds to others; especially his teammates should have been shown, imho, the thing people are saying at the end of that chapter should not be "omg Naruhina iz canon", it should be something like "8th gate is revealed" or "it was a nice tribute to Neji's death"
