There is no reason on why the Uchiha Clan as a whole was so weak during the Genocide.

The politics of the Narutoverse are not the same as ours, you just can't compare the two like it makes sense in our real world.
There were a total of 3 wars in a period of less than 60 years, I can imagine that many people (especially the people who would ultimately be looked to for leadership i.e. the elders and Hokage) were not all that eager to be thrust into yet ANOTHER war with villages who didn't like the leaf (seemingly all of them). A war with the strongest clan would result in perhaps the total annihilation of the village of the aftermath, as was stated above by KGB Kakuzu it would also bring about a lot of distrust between the average citizen and the Uchiha. This is obviously what led to the coup of the Uchiha.
And to address your first point, I wasn't saying dirty things are required, but a leader has to think about the good of what he's been entrusted with. You don't coddle a rebellion, you put it down. Hard.

The term "politics" doesn't change. Hashirama.. the creator of the hidden leaf politics... is against "dirty work". and killing his own people (The villagers, whether it be uchiha or senju or any other clan)... same worked for George Washington.
The hokage was against war... Hes the one who told them that they can't idiotically just declare the uchiha traitors and go into war with them.. instead they should talk it out. <<Thats what a real leader does.. and is example of "good Politics".
Again,.. Uchiha were simply rebelling against the GOVERNMENT.. (They have the right as the co-creators of the village).why? because the government had segregated them. The normal citizen would also possibly join the Uchiha.... Also, if the Uchiha were to reveal the dirt of Danzo... then the whole Konoha government would have lost the trust of the people. Uchiha never said going against Konoha.... a "Coup" is against a government.....and in this case.. its 3-4 people (Depending on which side Sarutobi would've been on).
Sorry but every citizens have the right to rebel....Killing them off is murder.
Ohh i gotcha. ^_^. They were probably busy with helping out the villagers.. they are the police afterall.

Obito was there, and I'm pretty sure no one else had the MS or possibly even awakened the sharingan. Many of them were prob not even ninja, but cooks and store clerks just like the other residents of the konoha.

My view of the Uchiha is unfortunately tainted by Sasuke's personality and I find it hard to sympathize with them. I also side with Itachi on this matter, so there's the two parts that see the Uchiha as the poor helpless people others can see them in my mind. However I don't recall the Uchiha trying to talk either, voice their concerns.
And from what you said, the people are the government, so they did go against the people of Konoha who trusted their leaders to do what was right. It was Danzo's fault in the end anyway. He forced Itachi to do it his way, something Sarutobi didn't foresee happening as quickly.
Look who eye Kakashi has, Obito's his Kamui alone is op. A few chapters in the past Naruto, Kakashi, and Guy couldn't hit him. Kakashi has Obito eye it's only right that he has a counter to his Kamui. No other Uchiha durin the massacre had MS besides Itachi, there was no way the clan was goin to win.

First of all, it was a sneak attack, most probably didn't have the chance to fight back. Second, they were up against the two strongest living Uchiha and 2 of the strongest ninja overall. Third, Kakashi got that good because he was already a genius. The sharingan gives you access to the power to copy thousands of jutsu, but you still have to have the skill, which many Uchiha didn't have, and Kakashi did.
