I literally answered your reply in the OP. Kawaki is the main one, obviously he will get the spotlight, but that doesn't necessarily mean the others are "failures", or that they are dead.

They might come in handy for Kara in the future so there's no point for them to discard the kids, even though they may not be the "perfect" living ninja tool like Kawaki is.
