(Theory) Why Madara had only one eye. Making the connections to the Uchiha massacre.

I thought Tsukuyomi was the jutsu Madara wanted to cast? Mugen Tsukuyomi

Yes, and I thought about that. I have seen the plan called, "Moon's Eye Plan" but at the same time I think Obito called it "Project Tsukuyomi". I don't know which is the correct translation or if it was intentionally called both. What I do know though, is that what Madara showed Obito was not Tsukuyomi. He didn't have MS activated. It was a world he had already created, "tested out", as he said to Obito, "I can create anything I want here". What I think is that Izanagi must be used to "create" the dream world. It is not just a regular genjutsu, but that he needs to use a genjutsu (like he did with Obito) to bring people into that world.


EDIT: Basically what I am saying is that what he showed Obito wasn't Tsukuyomi so by that logic the Dream World would not be Tsukuyomi either.

Awesome theory. I always wonder why obito took part of the massacre. This makes sense. Uchiha massacre was apart of madara's plan. Smh Now to think about it. If this thread theory was as popular as the hatred for Tobirama, it would seem to contrast what Tobirama did to the Uchiha... Wow and people call Tobirama all kinds of names for acting towards the Uchiha...Man to imagine an Uchiha being responsible for the massacre of their own race. To try to answer this. Remember when he showed Obito that "dream world"? Well that dream world didnt just come out of nowhere. He used Izanagi coupled with the Gedo Mazo to create his own world. Izanagi is a technique that requires the Uchiha and Senju's powers (or the Sage's powers), but it cost the user the light in their eye. When Madara created his "genjutsu world" through Izanagi, he lost that eye.

This made so much sense to me. Honestly, who cares that he only had one eye. His hair is always covering that eye anyways so it's not like he needed it. About the Uchiha massacre, that means that they probably weren't planning. Coupe da tat. Maybe Madara found a way to put that thought into danzos ear. I always thought it was Tobiramas will that he passed down to hiruzen and danzo to kill off the Uchiha.

I know, that is something I have always found strange. Itachi seemed to think Izangi had been used multiple times by Uchiha in the past and i feel like senju DNA wouldn't be so easy to obtain over and over like how Itachi was explaining it. So yea, I don't know, it's something I'm still looking for answers to. What I've always wondered is if the story is taking place in some one's Izangi or Izanami path. I've seen theories that sort of talk about the story being told in that way...

It does makes sense madara had only one eye, all the sharingan have to be destroyed so there can be no counter to the "izanagi" cast by madara, when he does, the last sharingan goes blind and becomes useless so the dream world can never be broken.

Madara, shows Obito the world he has ALREADY created. It is like a seperate universe where he can control everything. But did you notice how he took him there? It wasn't with Tsukuyomi, he didnt have MS activated. It was a world he had created before hand, not Tsukuyomi. It is something he created with imagination and we have learned that imagining something comes from "yin" chakra and then he used the "yang" chakra from the statue to make it a real place. My theory is that Izanagi is the basis for this creation. Obviously, I can't be sure yet, but I do know that Obito was not taken there by way of Tsukuyomi, meaning the dream world is not based in Tsukuyomi.
