The Gold and Silver brothers are the only ones outside (assumed outside at least) of the Uzumaki lineage to become successful Jinchuurikis of Kurama (albeit incomplete pseudo-jinchuurikis because they only ate the flesh of Kurama not seal it inside them) the Uzumakis were the only ones capable of being Kurama's host, they were imported from the Uzumaki village just to become Kurama's Jinchuuriki (eg. Kushina) meaning they are the only suitable host for the Kyuubi, but the Gold and Silver Brothers were also compatible Jinchuurikis, if indeed the Gold and Silver bros were related to the Sage and if they are capable of becoming the Kyuubi's host like the Uzumakis were, then it is logical to conclude that Rikudou himself must also have been an Uzumaki.

That is what I've been thinking as well. Naruto will get the Rinnegan and Sasuke will get the Elder Son's Dojutsu (On top of his EMS) and Perfect Stabilized Susanoo. It's the only way they are going to surpass Madara and Hashirama.

Nice theory. but the Rinnegan user they were supposed to get would need a lot of chakra for Rinne Tensei. If he had given it to Obito he would die trying to revive Madara, and Madara clearly didn't see Obito as a disposable aspect so they used Nagato instead (Who probably wouldn't die, which means its a win win situation).

Also, Obito's Outer Path binding is stronger than Nagato's and we all know why it was stronger (Because Obito is a Senju/Uchiha hybrid and Nagato is not so I believe that Senju/Uchiha is needed for the full power of the Rinnegan to be awakened, not Uzumaki.

The issue of reviving Madara was not the point, since during Obito's recruitment the Rinne Tensei was not awakened yet in the Rinnegan. The Outer Path's binding is stronger in Obito because Nagato already awakened the full powers of the Rinnegan for Obito's disposal. We must also take note that the outer path binding Nagato used when he battled Naruto was done in proxy meaning he used the corpses to wield it instead of wielding it directly himself since his body was incapacitated.

Kushina is saying that the type of seal on Naruto was based on a jutsu originally developed by the Uzumakis meaning it's not the type of seal that is original to the Uzumakis, but the very jutsu of sealing itself originated from the Uzumakis, and since Tobi said the sealing jutsu came from Rikudou Sennin, then it must also mean that Rikudou was also an Uzumaki.

Yes, they intermarried like Hashirama and Mito, but also, I am lead to believe that the Senjus and Uzumakis are distant blood relatives based on common ancestry, meaning that the original bloodline must be the Uzumakis, for example in France we have the Capetian Dynasty that ruled it for centuries, this royal bloodline came from Hugh Capet, his two most prominent descendant houses split to the Bourbons and to the Anjous, a direct descendant of Hugh Capet who does not belong to either Bourbon or Anjou can claim distant blood relationships from either, not through direct ancestry but through common ancestry the same can be applied to the Uzumakis, Senjus and Uchihas, the Uzumakis who were not direct descendants of Rikudou Sennin could claim distant blood relations to the two clans that are directly descended from Rikudou himself: The Uchihas from the Elder Son and the Senjus from the Younger Son.
