With Kishi's father death, I think its easy to forget that he is dealing with this and it shows through his work. With not properly mourning still trying to meet deadlines and demands of us fans, this sting of "Empire strikes back" chapters may follow for some time.
I think he may feel like in real life death has no rhyme or reason to it, thus no real course of action to "fix" the problem. I write this because I am guilty of not cutting the guy some slack, I think its clear this is only real outlet to express his inner feelings.
Knowing this I would move my rating of the last chapter from a 2/5 to a 4/5 (coughing out the sage tools was a bit of a plot hole device still lol)
