So I have this crazy idea. Maybe I'm tired after work. Maybe I just want to make a thread. Who knows.

But take a look at this scan:

Obito has a quick flashback to Rin. To me, this signifies two possible things:

(1) Obito knows he is about to die and that is his last thought.

(2) Obito knows he is about to die... and wants to revive Rin before he does.

No, I'm not trolling. This is just an idea.

Think about it. Obito never had the intention of reviving Madara; in fact, he loathes him. Once Madara died, Obito didn't want him back in the picture, and when he came around Obito definetely wasn't going to give his life to revive Madara of all people.

So why now? I know he's being forced to do it, but maybe, just maybe, with his last will, he will instead redirect the Rinne Tensei to revive Rin.

That's why he flashed back to her, because that was the whole point of Infinte Tsukuyomi, to create a "world" where there is no war, and presumably where an older Rin will be.

There's no way he'd die without a fight, to revive Madara of all people, before seeing Rin again.

Now, this theory does run into some problems. We'd have to assume that Rinne Tensei can revive somebody like Izanagi does, out of the air- since obviously Kishimoto won't make Rin be revived while buried in a coffin. This isn't so far fetched however, since the Rinnegan is known for reality bending techniques. Whose to say Rinne Tensei couldn't revive someone like Izanagi does? Kishimoto can make it happen if he wants.

But that's it. Not a great theory, but hopefully an interesting read. Peace.

Well I do know one thing for sure. When Obito dies he will release his bowels.

But what's the point of him reviving her if he won't be around to enjoy her?

Obito isnt even in control of his body right now so he doesnt decide who he brings back unless he breaks control of Madara

I believe he is just thiking about Rin because he realises he is about to die and wont get to be part of the Moon eye plan....

Yea, don't think so..

Phantom of the Opera looking 30 year old Obito bringing back a 15 year old Rin would just be plain awkward.

It's possible. I've always theorized that Rinne Tensei along with Izanagi is practically the Creation of All Things technique. We know that Izanagi was used to create the bodies of the tailed beasts (as explained by Obito when he fought Konan) but it can't create life and Rinne Tensei breathes life into you but can't create a body.

So if Obito were to put them both together, he could create an older body for Rin and then put her soul back into it. Just a thought

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up reviving Rin....It'd be the biggest middle finger he could give to Madara. However, that would make him lose the war, and he just told Kakshi to suck it...so I think he won't.

And an even bigger middle finger to obito would be madara killing the revived rin out of frustration:cool:
