I love this theory but they didn't have ninja villages back then but I made a similar theory where Madara was in love with Mito but she ended up wit Hashirama.

Tobi did not care about the world because he really donot have an actual parent (madara die and maybe mito die while he was growing up) and he share his emotion with killerbee and naruto because they were both rejected because of their tailbeast.
