Just a theory.

If she is Karin's daughter maybe she was lied to in order to be protected like Naruto was. The Uzumaki were destroyed out of fear of their power. Salad is an Uzumaki who can potentially awaken the sharingan.

That's the only way I could rationalize the fake marriage without making Sakura look pathetic.

The only person i can think of that would pose a threat is Orochimaru due wanting the sharingan (can't really memeber what happened with him), It being powered by Uzumaki blood/Chakra would be a great bonus.

But if sasuke truly wanted to protect her, he should have just lied about having a child in the first place, Like the 3rd did to protect naruto by keeping his fathers identity a secret

Maybe so but it would be safer to wait for her to awake the sharingan (which by the time she did she can most likely defend herself), Than name her uchiha and make it common knowledge from birth.
