[Theory] The Real Reason Why Orochimaru Wanted Kimimaro's Body

This is my original thread, no copy and paste. I am sorry if this idea was already made, as I am unaware whether this theory has already been made or not. Prepare for a wall of text! (Although this is common with most theories )


I think there was more to why Orochimaru originally wanted Kimimaro as his new body before he met Sasuke. It wasn't just for Shikotsumakyu. It was also for Sage Mode.

So as we all know, Orochimaru came across Ryuchi Cave after researching on where Jugo's powers came from. But, he couldn't use Sage Mode because he couldn't find a host body suitable for sustaining the technique. This is where Jugo comes into play.

Since Jugo could take in natural energy, he could use a variant of Senjutsu in a mode called Sage Transformation. But the thing was, Jugo and his clan couldn't go into Sage Mode because of their tendency to go berserk, which made it unstable. Now this is where Kimimaro comes into play.

Kimimaro had the immensely powerful Shikotsumakyu, which allowed him to control his calcium levels. But, there's more. He could also tame Jugo. He was the only one before Sasuke who could keep him in check. Since at the time Kimimaro wasn't too sick, Orochimaru saw the perfect oppurtunity for attaining a perfect body. As crazy as this might seem, Orochimaru planned on testing on Kimimaro so that he could learn the Living Corpse Reincarnation Technique. With it, Kimimaro would take over Jugo's body, making it so Orochimaru doesn't have to wait three years so he can take over one or the other. Also, with Kimimaro possessing Jugo's body, Orochimaru could have a suitable body to learn Senjutsu in. Plus, Kimimaro would be able to use Jugo's senjutsu because 1) he has Jugo's ability to take in natural energy, and 2) he wouldn't go berserk because he was shown to calm down Jugo and only members from the clan go berserk.

With this done, Orochimaru would take over Kimimaro. With Kimimaro's suitable body at the time, Jugo's ability to absorb Senjutsu, and Orochimaru unable to go berserk because he isn't from the clan, Orochimaru would then have access to Sage Mode. The only reasons Orochimaru didn't go through with this is because he saw Sasuke's body to be more valuable since he had the Sharingan and Kimimaro was getting ill.

Kimimaro had a body (rare kkg + heals it self) that was extremely special even his physiology was differentthis is why he wasn't cured(so ophe just had to be killed)
Its pretty likely if oro would have got the chance he would've implanted hashirama dna in that body & also sharingan a strong body that has the ability to adjust
That ability to adjust & endure is y he wanted his body + a rare kkg is the most likely reasons

There are a few problems with this theory:

1) Juugo could go into sage mode, the thing he turns into IS sage mode. The reason his clan goes berserk is because as there bodies gather nature chakra over time it starts to build and build and doesnt get released. When it gets too high they lose control and transform going wild with techniques and desetroying stuff in an attempt to get some nature chakra out of them. So your entire premise on people from Juugo's clan randomly going beserk is not a good one.

2) Kimmimaro was able to "Calm" Juugo because he was his friend. Kimmimaro didnt have special calming powers, he was just a friend to juugo, upon his death he told juugo to follow Sasuke as Sasuke was his will reincarnated, as he was going to be Orochimaru's new body, and thus Juugo follows Sasuke.

3) When one using Orochimarus body trasnfer jutsu they LOSE there original body. And so if Kimmimaro did use it on Juugo he would lose his body and his KKG and obtain Juugo KKG. It makes no sense for Orochimaru to throw away Kimmimaro's Shikotsumakyu. Rather he could merely do what Kabuto did which would be obtain kimmimaro's body and add Jugo's KKG to it.


Everyone is posting about how this theory was great or how it is possible etc.... Im leaving the base if theories like these arent laughed out of the room.... Anyone who reads the manga would know this makes no sense...No offense to the OP, im just saying...

I have no problem with disagreement and you using evidence to back it up (which isn't 100% though) but when you start saying stuff like that, it really irritates me, and I'm sure if someone else was in my position they would also be a bit irritated.

Jesus christ IT IS BECAUSE OROCHIMARUS SNAKE ABILITIES ARENT KKG... I am going to make a thread dedicated to this. I will msg you letting you know when it is finished. It should be done within the hour.... So much work just to show a guy he is wrong

I think it is plausable, "humid bone forrest" rings some bells, it was a place to be a sage like Mount Myokobu (or something like that) with frogs.
