So I have a theory that the byakugan is descended from the rinnegan and sharingan so it is:

The Byakugan is a mutated Rinnegan:The Juubi gave the Rikudou Sennin the Rinnegan when he sealed it inside him and afterwards the Sage created his two sons.The Elder Son received the Juubi's eye and Yin Chakra and a mutated version of the Rinnegan.However the Rinnegan mutated further into the Sharingan thanks to the Juubi's Yin chakra so how can the Byakugan be related to it?

The answer is very simple and that is the Elder Son had conceived a child with the Hyuuga anscestor or one of his children did resulting in the Byakugan being almost pure version of the the Rinnegan, while the Sharingan was impure and required the bloodlines of the Elder Son and Younger Son to join in order for it to trasnform back into the Rinnegan.

The Rinnegan and Byakugan have the same purple color:If you examine the two closely the Rinnegan and Byakugan share the same color and the only thing that sets them apart is the ripple patterns the Rinnegan has so that is more evidence the Byakugan is a almost pure version of the Rinnegan.

So in conclusion all three Eye Dojutsu originated from the Rikudou Sennin and Juubi, but the Sharingan is the only one that can evolve back into the Rinnegan.

It has a slight purple color to it but it looks white.

I am also thinking the Byakugan is from the Rinnegan...though I think that the Rinnegan was always the sages eyes.

I figured that the Elder son had two children....one kept a very strict lineage to msintain the blood line, but the other married more for love and after several off marriages the Hyuga line was eventually formed.

There's evidence that the Sage inherited the Rinnegan when he sealed the Juubi into himself because of it's eye.And it's not ignorance, it's a theory that I thought people would find interesting, so it's not worthless if people like it.

Rikudo had the reninengan before sealed the juubi and I think byakuga evolved from rinengan.

Ehh, I personally think that the Byakugan will never be explained. It may not even be related to the other eyes!
