Theory: The Mystery of Shisui Uchiha

To this day, details about Shisui Uchiha have reamined, thus far, unaccessible. So I thought, f*ck it, I'm gonna make a thread to bring everyone's ideas together so that we can come up with a detailed fan's prediction about who this guy really was.

So what do we already know about Shisui?

Abilities:
He was known as Shisui of the body flicker and was well known for his teleporting abilities.

He was one of the strongest genjutsu users in the whole of the Uchiha clan's vast history.

His greatest technique was kotoamatsukami which allowed him to control people without them even knowing. It was seen as a genjutsu of the highest calibre. :whoa:

We also know that Shisui had Konoha's 'will of fire' - one of few Uchihas (along with Itachi & Obito) to possess this and not the 'curse of hatred' passed down by the sage's first son. What I think is important about this is that it rules out him in anyway being Madara; Shisui is everything that a good ninja is supposed to be. However, following this manga, you just never know what could happen....

Now to the theory about what happened with him
I believed Shisui was killed by Itachi. Shisui was the one who taught Itachi about sacrifice and I believe he used Kotoamatsukami on Itachi, thus making Itachi responsible for his death. I believe this lead to Itachi gaining the Mangekyo Sharingan.

There is also some mystery around why Shisui gave Danzo his other Mangekyo. Shisui was a member of the ANBU root division and we've seen the levels of obedience people in this division have for the superiors :anbus:. This may explain why he willingly gave up his MS.

What we also know is that Kabuto wanted to revive Shisui but didn't have sufficient DNA to do his Impure world resurrection. Despite this, his body was never found. Telling? I believe Shisui will be revived using an unknown Uchiha jutsu. Remember, Madara was shocked and disgusted that Kabuto was able to decifer the Uchiha Monument and discover things about Madara's body:

I believe Kabuto may is some way reconstruct Shisui and use him in the climax of his battle with Itachi. Remember, Kabuto said he had 'something else up his sleeve'; and I don't believe that this was Madara. I think it could be something to do with Edo Tensei's qualities or, in this case, Shisui Uchiha. Whilst its possible his body may be being kept somewhere, theres just absolutely no evidence to pursue that idea. He may reconstruct Shisui's body using artificial materials but I think his soul may be incorperated into this vessel. This may be to:

1. Mind f*ck Itachi and make him easier to defeat
2. In someway use Kotoamatsukami on Itachi or Tobi (but that's for another thread...)

Anyway, I'm still so far confused as to why Shisui felt he no longer had anything to offer the wartorn ninja world. I find it strange that Kishi has revealed so little detail about Shisui which has lead me to believe he will make a stunning appearance in the manga.

Anyway, these were just my ideas, don't hate.

edit nevermind forgot that he had given the eye to danzo, but probably danzo connived him into it somehow or blackmailed him or something im guessing.

No because Danzo had Shisui's eye Before Itachi had taken the other; the last time Itachi saw him, he only had one eye.

We already now that Ka works even on Itachi.

No, kabuto asked tobi for some of the blood of danzo's eye (shisui's eye) for edo tensei. Also, kabuto tried to use Nagato to retrieve shisui's other eye that was given to naruto, but itachi put a stop to it and then burned the eye with amaterasu.

So tobi could still have some DNA (and he will never that kind of power to kabuto), but besides that Shisui is gone forever.

It is said in the manga that Danzo had "taken" an eye, not "given" an eye to Danzo. It could be a miss translation but there is no evidence that shisui willingly gave an eye to danzo.

Yh, this thought has been on my mind ever since I found out about kotoamatsuki. I never noticed his sharingan was activated in that picture though. Great spot.

i know i was wrong about him giving the eye to danzo i forgot that but still doesnt change the fact itachi most likely killed him to awaken his ms. where do you get that itachi had nothing to do with his death?

i think itachi killed him but not in a fight that shisui allowed itachi to kill him to try and avoid conflict.

Even if the manga doesn't say it, you can use your head to figure it out. Shisui didn't look harmed at all and he could have used KA if Danzo attacked him. He just wanted to leave a powerful technique for the village.

You do realize that he probably gave it to Danzo? I mean, if Danzo had fought him and somehow won then ripped his eye out; I highly doubt Shisui would be able to get away. If he had been attacked by Danzo and got away like he did he could have gone right to Hiruzen and Danzo would have been wrecked.

I think Shisui wanted to commit suicide and willingly gave his right eye to Danzo. I made a thread about this a while ago, its a theory about Shisui's eyes and Tobi, Danzo, and Itachi's relations to them:

Sometimes you have to use your own intelligence. Shisui is far superior than danzo in strength. Danzo was shisui's superior and like shisui believed in the same thing. Protecting the peace from the shadows. In that same chapter it was said that shisui gave his other eye to itachi. I think its obvious that shiusi gave his other eye to danzo.

Besides knowing danzo, if probably wanted both, but shisui only gave him one U_U

I also think it's important to remember this is Shisui Uchiha who was hailed as a genius alongside his good friend Itachi. He would not have so easily allowed Danzo to simply take his right eye.
