As we can see from the picture above, the DNA sample is kept safely inside a small box. This could indicate that it is Sasuke's DNA sample because of how Karin is so obsessed with Sasuke and this could be another reason why Karin does not want Suigetsu going inside her room and touching her stuff. (which is because she does not want Suigetsu to know that she has Sasuke's DNA sample stored inside the room).
On top of that, let me quote Suigetsu
"I thought this was from when Karin was born but.."
Suigetsu THOUGHT that it is Karin's DNA sample.
Looking at Suigetsu's background he is one of the dumb characters in the series. It is highly unlikely that what his THOUGHTS are true.
