So this theory works on two simple premises:
1. Sasuke and Naruto are the current representation of the division of the Sage's power as illustrated by Elder/Younger Brother & later Madara/Hashirama
2. Naruto will obtain strength that is equivalent to Rikudou Sennin during the final battle of the series.
With those two premises in mind, we can then consider how Kishimoto would achieve those premises.
So let's talk about Premise 1#
Now the powers that Hashirama & Madara possessed are associated with two things Eyes (Madara) & the Body(Hashi) of their respective ancestors.
Now in Madara's case, this association is obvious, he has the ocular powers of the Sage via EMS. However in Hashirama's case this association isn't quite as obvious and requires more insight and analysis.
In Hashi's case I don't think it's unfair to call Senjutsu the power associated with the body. It's not outright confirmed yet that Rikudo utilized Senjutsu, but given the many hints throughout the manga that support this it seems very plausible.
Now many people associate Mokuton with the Sage's body powers as well, but I don't think this is the case, in fact I think it's a power associated with the Juubi. After all we see Juubi using Mokuton in the war, Juubi's husk was made of Mokuton & it was Hashi's Mokuton that partially restored it, and finally when Obito syncs with the Juubi in the flashback his Mokuton powers also skyrocket.
So essentially we're left with something like this
Madara
EMS - Sage's Eyes/Spiritual Energy
Hashirama
SM - Sage's Body/Physical Energy
Mokuton
Now why Hashirama has an element of the Juubi's power we don't know, but I suspect that will be revealed in coming chapters when the Juubi's connection to Mokuton is fully explained. So that's one plausible future event predicted from studying this division.
But moving on: Sasuke & Naruto are supposed to represent the dichotomy of Hashirama & Madara, it stands then to reason that Sasuke & Naruto will gain similar powers.
In Naruto's case he has a power that is connected to the Juubi: Kurama's & he has SM which is connected to the Sage's Body/Physical energy. So he already possess similar abilities. However in Sasuke's case he possesses EMS that is related to the Sage's Eyes/Spiritual energy, but so far he possess no power related to the Juubi. Therefore another plausible future event is that Sasuke will gain a power connected to the Juubi - a bit more on that later, so don't forget this point.
However there's a problem Madara & Hashirama have not only shown mastery of Juubi Power + Eyes/Spiritual Energy or Body/Physical energy, but the ability to stack these powers. So another plausible prediction is that Naruto will eventually stack SM with BM, while Sasuke will stack EMS with whatever Juubi associated power he gains.
Moving on to Premise Number #2; Naruto obtaining the power of Rikudo. Now up until this point the only shown way to obtain Rikudo's power is by stealing the powers of others, since no single person has been born with all of Rikudo's or Juubi's powers. But it's highly unlikely that Naruto is going to steal someone's eyes anytime soon and Kishi has shown time and time again that stealing the powers of others to achieve Rikudo's level is wrong and ultimately results in failure.
But if stealing is the wrong path than there has to be a right path and the only right path I can think off is if someone willing gives Naruto spiritual energy comparable to the Sage. The obvious path to that would be someone giving Naruto a Dojutsu, however if Kishi wanted to go that path he would have allowed Naruto to keep Itachi's Crow with Shisui's eye in it. So it isn't likely going to be something that obvious.
So let's look a little deeper. Naruto recently displayed the power to conform Kyuubi's Yang chakra to the chakra type of any person he wishes and in doing so share the Kyuubi's Yang Chakra (or Physical energy) with his allies. It's cited in the manga that he was able to do this because of being a Jinchuuriki so long, and also because he has Kushina's blood, I.E. the blood of the Uzamaki clan whose powers are associated with that of the Sage's body/physical energy.
Therefore it stands to reason that Minato sealed only Kurama's Yang chakra into Naruto because he believed his connection with it to the Uzamaki clan and therefore his connection to the Sage's Body/Physical energy would allow him to manifest this ability. However why did Minato give Naruto just Kyuubi's Yang chakra? The natural conclusion would be that Naruto's connection to the Sage's body would only allow him to exercise this ability on the Kyuubi's physical energy, while he'd be unable to do so with the Kyuubi's spiritual energy.
But this means that someone with a connection to the Sage's Spiritual Energy/Eyes would be able to do the reverse and transfer Yin Chakra to various people. Now going back to the fact that Sasuke shall probably soon inherit a Juubi related power, it would stand to reason then that this power would boost his Yin Chakra to comparable levels of that of Kurama's Yang Chakra that boosts Naruto's Yang Chakra. So we can now predict the specific type of power Sasuke will receive in the future besides EMS.
However following the logic that Sasuke will gain such an ability then it's obvious how Naruto will reach Rikudo's level. Sasuke will give Naruto a spiritual energy boost, which will allow Naruto to obtain the power of Rikudo. However this will be a two-way street since Naruto will be able to give Sasuke the Sage's Physical energy, so both can take turns being Rikudo level & both will have equal power that balances each others' powers out. This will be depicted as the right way to achieve Rikudo's power since it deals with trust, friendship, etc... all the stuff Kishi loves and thus be more potent than whatever the Final Villain has which will not doubt be a product of theft rather than bonds of friendship and the like.
So to sum up the ideas in this thread are:
1. Hashirama's Mokuton will be revealed as a power associated with the Juubi.
2. Sasuke will gain a power associated with the Juubi that boosts his Yin Chakra tremendously & he will develop Yin Chakra transfer.
3. Naruto will stack SM & BM, while Sasuke will stack EMS & Juubi associated Yin power
4. Sasuke (after being redeemed) will combined forces with Naruto in the final battle where they will take turns transferring their Yin & Yang chakra to each other allowing each of them to reach Rikudo level for a certain period of time throughout the battle and in doing so overcome the FV.
These are the concepts that I believe will be played out in the manga's conclusion derived from the division Kishimoto has been showing of the Sage's powers among Uchiha - Senju/Uzamaki.
