Hmmmmmmmmm, quick thought, Do you think that Sasuke will definately get the Rinnegan now??????

I'd say yes.. As an attempt for Kishi to balance the characters for an overall amazing final bout. However Kishi is unpredictable and could simply give sasuke an alternate ability but the latter is more likely as Rinnegan secrets are starting to unfold.

I agree almost 100%. I still like my idea of the Uzumaki clan being Rikudou Sennin's clan, but I have little substantiation other than it being a possible final trump card for Naruto (since he's the title character), and that the Uzumaki's history is one of the most guarded secrets of the series. Seems to indicate that there's something really special about them.

I would bet money on you being correct about Madara destroying Uzushiogakure with a meteor for the sake of eliminating competition.

Something else I hadn't thought about until now: Nagato was definitely an Uzumaki (Tobi says so) and he was also clearly capable of controlling the Rinnegan. This leads me to believe there's no reason why Naruto couldn't as well. Nagato brought himself closer to the power of the So6P through the Gedo Mazo since he wasn't himself a Jinchuuriki nor able to control all 9 beasts. Naruto on the other hand may have already solved that half of the puzzle.
