Aren't all MS different? If I recall correctly Itachi could not extinguish Amaterasu, only when Sasuke awoke his MS he was able to extinguish the flames. Implying that his child has the same exact MS (not sure if this is possible) the Amaterasu would then be able to be used to cauterize a wound? Even so it seems like a long shot that Amaterasu could consistently be used for medical purposes when it requires so much effort to use.
