Theory: Susanoo only weak against physical attacks

I have a theory that Susanoo is only weak against strong physical attacks as opposed to close,mid,long range jutsus.

Evidence:

Itachi blocked Kirin a S rank technique possibly the strongest lightning jutsu in the manga with just the ribcage.

Then Sasuke's ribcage gets penetrated by Raikages beech slap taijutsu.

Then Sasukes susanoo remains unfazed by the combination attacks of Gaara, Temari, Darui and Kankuro.

The only jutsu that I can think that penetrated a Susanoo was Mei acid and lava jutsu but I don't think I need to show you guys how acid and lava works.

So what do you guys think?

Itachi didn't seem to Block Kirin Fully.

Befor it Hit he had his cloak on, After it hit he was Facedown and it was Gone.

Also it's unclear what Form of susanoo he used to Block it, Susanoo wasn't there after the Blast has Gone.

Nah its also most likely weak against very very strong Ninjutsu attacks such as TBB.

No. It's just that the Raikage's punches pack like superhuman strength >_> remember the part where Danzo's punch got easily blocked by a Susanoo rib

Good theory.
Without the Yata Mirror, Susanoo can be broken by powerful taijutsu or ninjutsu attacks, though it's capable of blocking most weaker techniques.

can be true but remember the sasuke vs danzo. danzo used a kunai to attack sasuke and it broke and there was no effect. so i would say that sussanoo is like a concrete wall. if u hit it hard u can break it but if u even shoot it with a bulet it wouldnt break

Yea now everything you said it wrong that was the rib cage and sasuke susanoo rib was still in place it didnt break and tsuande broke a piece of madara susanoo ribs, no one has broke a fully armored susanoo.

Lightning is instant, he would only have time to activate a part of Susanoo. If Itachi activated yata mirror it would have showed up instead of the skeleton. Yata mirror says to deflect all jutsu, in theory it should have deflected kirin.

Danzo isn't as Strong as A or Tsunade. I believe only a strong physical attack can harm Susanno or a seriously powerful jutsu but even kirin couldn't break it.

Remember Mei's acid melted Sasukes ribcage. But Mei's lava didn't melt Madaras ribcage.

No one has made a move on a full armoured Susanno yet but going by what has shown physical attacks seem to harm it more than others.

Just wondering what will happen if a full armoured susanoo gets hit by a bijuu dama??

Danzo's wind technique combined with Baki's suction, cut a mid-level version of susanoo open.

And Kirin obliterated Itachi's susanoo ribs. Mei also defeated sasuke's susanoo ribs with boil release.

Anyway, blunt damage of a low level isn't going to work for sure, susanoo seems weakest against high-level piercing attacks so far. Grinding/eroding attacks like boil release work much more slowly, and i think rasengan falls into that category too. Rasensuriken on the other hand would probably cut up susanoo pretty badly.
