My theory as to why they were un-harmed by the Eternal Tsukuyomi and why Sasuke knew what to do is because the Susan'o negates all sealing/genjutsu, and here's why: now before you say "Oh well why didn't Itachi get put under Sasuke's Genjustu during their fight even though he had a Susan'o and he wasn't able to negate it".. Well my theory is if you guys remember during the Danzo vs Sasuke fight, Sasuke was able to break out of Danzo's Sealing Jutsu by activating his Susan'o and that basically implies an ability of the Susan'o is to be unifected by Sealing Jutsu, and keep in mind that was not your everyday Sealing Jutsu Danzo placed on Sasuke's throat. But to also back my theory; if you guys also remember the 5 Kage tried sealing Madara using the tags when they were fighting him, he just negated them by easily activating his Perfect Susan'o which gives my theory on Sealing Jutsu deactivation more solid ground, back to the Genjutsu negation ability of the (Perfect) Susan'o, I think the reason Itachi wasn't able to fully dismiss Sasukes Genjutsu (Which countered his own if you remember) is because you need to have a Perfect Susan'o like Sasuke and Madara have and I also believe that it is an ability the Susan'o unlocks when you get a Perfect Susan'o which blocks Genjutsu as apposed to just Sealing Justu's like what Sasuke did against Danzo, and that is hence to why Sasuke just saved everyone! so not only is the Perfect Susan'o a mountain buster, but also a very overpowered tactical tool for fighting.
