Spiral Zetsu and the Uzumaki
We don't know much about Spiral Zetsu - he was a character that popped up in Obito flashback sequence but subsequently disappears after Obito sees Rin dies and we never see him again. Many people think that he could have possibly been the 'Tobi is a Good Boy' Tobi or the Original Tobi mask is his face and so on but I have come to my own conclusion.
Theory:
Spiral Zetsu is a Zetsu clone created by only or predominately by Uzumaki cells. This is like how Black Zetsu is made from Uchiha Cells and White Zetsu and Senju Cells.
Evidence:
For one look at this.
Reason #1:
Uzumaki Symbol
Spiral Zetsu Face
They both have similar features - this is why the Spiral Zetsu has oddly shaped face compared to the rest.
Reason #2:
Throughout this whole chapter we've seen Sprial and White Zetsu interact - very friendly and nice. Also they're both white and is pointing toward them being related or in a sense Sprial came from White or White Zetsu - this happened between the Uzumaki and the Senju.
Reason #3:
Uzumaki is a play on the word Spiral. Coincidence, I think not!
Plot Fixes:
How did Madara get the Uzumaki cells?
Simple, Mito You can go by Madara loved Mito so he took some of her cells
shrug or during the fight between him and Hashirama, it is possible Mito was present and Madara acquired some of her cells.
Why would he want Uzumaki cells?
You can go a couple of ways from here - possibly because the Sage was an Uzumaki which I believe to be true but if you do not concur no need to worry. It is also maybe because Madara knew that for the Eye of the Moon plan, an Uzumaki had to host the Kyuubi because nobody else can sustain it (that is why he never sealed it in himself). He might also just wanted to know what the legendary clan was capable of.
