I think it is fairly obvious from the end of this latest chapter that Sasuke is up to something. I'm starting to think he is not plotting something against Konoha, the Ninja Alliance, or Naruto; but that he is plotting something that has severe repercussion and will not be widely accepted.

I think with Sasuke's comment "Burn" or "Burn it down", which ever you want to rely on, is a reference to him wanting to completely destroy the Juubi.

The Juubi was the creator and destroyer of all things. As far as we know it has always existed in some form, as the Juubi and as the Tailed Beasts; and probably for the reason that it's existance is essential to the Narutoverse. Additionally, the tailed beasts have been a form of peace treaty and balance between the great nations.

Naruto and the rest of the Ninja alliance have not been trying to destroy the Juubi. They have tried to immobilize it, seal it, defend against it, and trap it in another dimension. I believe Naruto wants to try and split it apart into the tailed beasts again.

Also the Juubi is pure chakra. There was no manipulation of chakra from the legends until the SoSP came along. So the Juubi may be essential in the preservation of this chakra manipulation. (I have nothing to back this part of the theory other than speculation, but I feel it is still plausible without it.)

So the complete destruction of the Juubi could have dire consequences on the Narutoverse, and Sasuke is acting with reckless disregard to these consequences.

I don't know if I would title this evil intentions, more like misguided intentions. From your thread, it seems like he's wanting to destroy the Juubi completely but it's not like Sasuke knows the possibility of these repercussions. He's just fighting against a giant menacing monster and trying to kill it.

Now on the matter if Sasuke is evil intentions or not is something I'm completely unsure on, because of his "Burn" comment at the end of this chapter but the proclamation to become Hokage before that. Makes me wonder wtf is on Sasuke's mind.

I do not agree that the alliance is not trying to kill the Juubi. Kakashi stated in a previous chapter he was trying to rip the Juubi's head off and send it to the other dimension not send the whole body over. It also is very possible that even if they sent the whole Juubi over it would be able to return using some space time jutsu of its own. So I would say that the alliance is trying to destroy the Juubi or at the very least release all of the tailed beasts inside (most likely this is Naruto's path anyway).

Everyone is trying to destroy the juubi, they just want rid of it, whatever comes first or whatever they're able to do first, destroy it or seal it.

Good post though apart from that

Maybe Sasuke wants to destroy all tailed beasts for good so the nations won't fight over them, that may lead to him fighting Naruto and bee

Sasuke knows practically everything that Orochimaru knows, he's read all the scrolls and research along with had him absorbed for a time. There is a good chance he knows the more about the Juubi than everyone but Madara.

But yes, Evil Intentions was more of an attention grabber. Since we don't know if there will be any repurcussion from the complete destruction of Juubi, then we don't know how evil or misguided it will be if he succeeds. Which I don't think he will from this attack. Still haven't seen the final form of the Juubi.
