The first chapter of Naruto Gaiden revealed that Sarada does not remember Sasuke at all, meaning he was out of the village for at least 8 years, causing her to question her mother's marriage to him. We then saw a picture of team Taka behind the portrait frame, with Karin's picture revealed behind Sakura's, causing us to further question Sakura's marriage and honesty, and whether Karin could be Sarada's real mother.
From our vague understanding of chapter 2 spoilers, we found that Sarada has no birth certificate, and there is no record of her as the daughter of Sakura or Sasuke in Konoha's archives, she is listed as an Uchiha, but not linked with Sasuke. This caused people to believe she was born outside the village, and possibly created in an experiment along with the new Uchiha.
I might be naive, but I think Kishi is misleading us here, and Sarada is born naturally between Sasuke and Sakura. We should remember that this was more or less what Kishi had everyone thinking for 6 months after the ending, while releasing the "Sasuke's family" portrait and mentioning that she is their daughter in multiple interviews and previews, and flat out stating it in Sarada's latest character description. Therefore her turning out to be an experiment is very unlikely and cruel for Sarada, and trollish for certain fans, but this is Kishi after all so it could be. Lol
Anyways. Some people believe Sarada's birth records were stolen, but who would steal them and for what reason, it doesn't make sense. The spoilers suggest that Sasuke is being targeted by a mysterious group including Akatsuki. I think he encountered them during his travels and they have been targeting him as far back as 10-12 years ago (not just the 2 people we saw in the spoiler, probably more). This forced him to stay away from the village in order to protect it, meaning, he never actually came back.
Instead, Sakura met him somewhere outside the village sometime after Naruto and Hinata's wedding (Last recorded event before chapter 700), possibly to assist him since she is a medical ninja, and they had Sarada.

Since a baby is not safe outside the village especially with Sasuke being targeted, Sakura came back to the village with Sarada.

This would explain why there are no records of Sarada's birth, and why she was still listed as an Uchiha but not under Sasuke since his consent is required. This would also explain the portrait, Sasuke and Sakura being on the move fending off enemies are not in a position to take photos, hence why Sasuke gave her the only photo he happened to have, team Taka.
Notes:
- Sakura is not safe with Sasuke on the move as soon as she gets pregnant, she could have returned to the village before Sarada's birth and the theory could still stand, I only said Sarada is born outside the village because of several people's deduction based on the spoilers.
- Naruto probably did not send any assistance during the past 10 years because Sasuke is more than enough to handle the threat, especially since they are Sharingan users, the reason for the prolonged struggle either because they always find a way to escape, or Sasuke just doesn't want to finish them off, and decided to stay away from the village to avoid involving his family.
