YES YES its genjutsu.Hashi is the only one to fool madara with a genjutsu.

now here is my theory-
What hashi gave sasuke is not any jutsu or sage mode or anything but a technique of genjutsu by which he defeated madara. Thats why sasuke has not it till now and saving it like an ace.He will/is using the tech to make madara believe that he has casted the infinte tsyukoyomi and after that madara in his own genjutsu somehow realise that infinite tsukoyomi can be a curse by......................................and he finnaly stops his own jutsu only to realise that he was under someone else genjutsu which showed him how hollow he was and he ends up quiting his own dream.
OR maybe sasuke can use it another way...

WHAT WILL BE THE CONSEQUENCES (stepwise)
1.Sasuke fanboys will go on a rampage
2.they will own narutobase forever and change it to sasukebase.
3.nb members will get depressed.
4.they will be depressing people around them.
5.depression will spread.
6.stocks will fall.
7.endless war will be tiggered and humans may come to the verge of extinction.

AND THIS WILL ALL BE YOUR FAULT KISHIMOTO.

OT: I do think hashirama's jutsu will come into effect and sasuke will land the delivering blow. Not sure if it will have anything to do with the infinite tsukuyomi though
