I thought it was Obito when they tried to open the portal with his double MS.

Without caring, you can't figure out right and wrong. Also when countering, you have to know what he's talking about so you counter it "legitly".

He does have the ability and this was after that incident where Sakura passed out and Obito barely able to stand

Obito and sakura were weakened after freeing Sasuke from the desert dimension. I don't see how they had enough chakra to open another portal.

I would agree but u can clearly see that its obito's james bond style portal in the scan while sasukes portal looks entirely different.

Obito was weakened from tryin to sustain the portal long enough fpr sasuke to jump through but i see no reason why he wouldn't be able to create another for them to jump through quickly..

I like the theory. Brilliant find and analysis with valid and noteworthy points. And this would be very convincing if we didn't see Boruto The Movie.

But it's false for the mere reason that Sasuke's ST portal is very similar to a black hole (as shown in Boruto The Movie). The one which was created when Sasuke, Sakura and Obito arrived was like a swirly window similar to Kamui portal which Obito previously created.

And Sasuke's eye had its tomoes (if you look closely).

Well, the portal's appearance does look different from the one in the movie just like how alot of techniques look different but yeah it's just a theory.
