like Naruto & Sasuke they are known as rivals

Also Hashirama & Madara Then Ancestor Uchiha & Ancestor Senju

they all had a rival in there lives one good one evil

Sage (Good) & UNKNOWN SIBLING OR BEST FRIEND (Evil)


so it must have really become from the sage on the riviarly and its very close to what i was thinking maybe his best friend was also a type of powerful character but kishi will decide on that

Actually the two sons derived from the Sage, which means that the sage was neutral.

It wouldn't surprise me, I doubt someone as powerful as the sage lived with absolutely no close friends whatsoever. However, I highly doubt that we will ever be disclosed the info about the sage as he himself was considered a myth. It's definitely possible though with the Naruto/Sasuke and Madara/Hashirama rivalry thing going on.
