Hi NB. I´ve been thinking and re-reading the manga and i came up with this theory. This is my first theory so please tell me how to better myself and also go easy on me
My theory consists of 3 topics:
- Sasuke and Oro are going to meet Old Madara
- Madara used Muu´s split technique before his death
- Itachi knew of Old Madara´s existence
First i will start with the split technique:
I believe Madara split himself with muu´s technique right before his death , the other half died somewhere between the pain arc or maybe is still ALIVE.
facts that lead to me to believe this:
-The madara brought back by the edo tensei is the first one as this technique brings back the dead the same as they were at the moment of their death
- Madara´s plan was to be revived by Nagato's Rinne tensei but as said by nagato to naruto, he couldn't revive jiraya as he had died quite a long time before.
With this info we can conclude that the rinne tensei had a time limit. Therefore to be revived Madara ( the old one) had to die somewhere between jiraya's death and the fight naaruto-pain or maybe he was planning to die some time afterwards.
Second Topic: Itachi knew of the old
- Itachi knew of old Madara's existence

,When itachi's talked to sasuke he said a few things about madara:
- he insulted madara, calling him a defeated looser and an unworthy of being called the strongest uchiha,which is the idea we get when we see the old madara ( even though obtaining imortality, is defeated, forced to live in a cave and attached to the gedo)
- he then said " Madara my acomplice and my mentor, he is the IMORTAL uchiha " I think when he said this he was talking about the old madara because I dont see itachi calling obito his mentor, it just doesn´t seem right
3rd and final point
It says that sasuke and oro are goin to meet the one who knows everything, who else to know everything but madara himself
