What is it about human beings that makes us resort to violence? Sometimes I ponder this question and wonder why humans are so easily angered into violent acts. If we think about it, violence has been in human behavior since the dawn of time. Cane and Able for example; Cane being the first murderer and Able being the first murdered victim. All over Cane being jealous of Able. Did this set the path for human behavior? Or were we created this way? If this set the path or we were created this way, either way, I believe our creators were NOT perfect. (Note: I refer to God as "our creator's" due to whats written in the bible, Genesis 1-26.) For those who believe God is the only one, the only creator, or that God stems from several creators, no matter which one we believe, he's not perfect. Frankly I believe God is an extraterrestrial and that there are many others like him, but thats my belief.

Anyway, back to the point. How could an entity (God or Creator) be so perfect and create us and allow us to have violent tendencies? In Genesis 1-26, And God said: 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.' Now I'm no english major, but the last time I checked, the word "OUR" meant; Used to denote oneself and another or others. In other words: US. My point here is since he created us in his image, does this mean that they also had violent tendencies? God obviously got pissed off at Adam and Eve and then kicked them out of Eden for gaining knowledge after Eve was persuaded to eat that dam apple...right? Even though stated as punishment, could this be a form of violence?

Why do we human beings loose our tempers, say nasty things to each other, strike each other, kill each other, if we're not wired for that reaction? Sure anger is an emotion, but why do we have that emotion? We must have been created that way. I know God gave us "Free will" so we could choose our behavior, make our own choices. But... if violent tendencies weren't apart of our makeup, we wouldn't have them. So we must have been created with them. That makes me believe that our creators had violent tendencies too. If our dna strand makes up what we are, then perhaps those humans that are more violent than others might have a corrupted peice in that dna strand that causes them to be able to hurt others without remorse. Of course most humans may get angry sometimes, which is an emotional response. But some humans can't seem to control that anger and it explodes into violent acts and even murder. Whoa... thats getting too heavy.

One thing is, I know alot of people "go wrong" in their lives due to their childhood being messed up. But alot of people had bad experiences in their childhood and they don't go around being violent to others. They live a normal peaceful life. Then you have the flip side to that and have people that were raised in well-to-do households and they went totally off the path of living a peaceful, happy life and decided to go out and kill some innocent person. It just doesn't add up. Anyway, there you have some theories on violent behavior and why it exists. All I know is the history of human beings has always had violence in it. I'm not sure if psychiatrists or medical science will ever find a way to resolve this problem. I guess we should accept the things we cannot change; courage to change the things we can; and wisdom to know the difference.

It's an essential part of nature and it isn't just humans that are violent.

Yeah, I disagree with this part as well. Seems like BS to me.

Don't be silly, we were not created by your god.

Don't obtain your information from that show, do extensive research. Extraterrestrials have been around much longer then us and are helping the human race ascend to the next level of life and to the next dimension.

Oh no I'm aware of that but this is not just a show it's professors from around the world examine facts and breaking them down and raising questions of what if? Watch it and you'll understand.

I've seen nearly all of Ancient Aliens series, it is repetitive but still decent. Sure, it has good information but it is not the same as your own research.

All men sin and fall short of the glory of God. Some sins are violence. Others greed or lust. It is not the creator but the faults of man. Our internal struggle of right vs. wrong. Adam and Eve's sin was eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge, a gift God was going to give us when he thought we were ready, but they listened to that hidden voice and defied the will of God. It was also at that moment that they felt guilty for what they had done and ashamed of their naked bodies.

Evil, wrong, negativity all existed before that moment. It was after they had eaten the fruit, that knowledge of these things had become realized. Whether Adam and Eve were real people, or that poetic licenses was used to explain the beginning of man, doesn't matter. Profound truths still lie in those words.

These traits are not the imperfections of our creator, but the sign of the ability of choice. To follow our own will.

I'm gonna go all devil's advocate on this one.

- There is no such thing as free-will. Free-will' existence alone is questionable if you truly believe in God's existence. How can there be such thing as free-will when there is a God who's able to see everything meaning our future, our whole existence, past existence, etc? God can already predict our future hence all the cool names people gave him such as "the one who knows all", so a free-will shouldn't exist. He already set our future the way it is from before we were even born, so the argument regarding free-will is flawed.

- Violence exist out of anger and rage, and anger and rage came from emotion. Emotion is something normal, even animals possessed it; not only that we according to evolution's fact, we were also once an animal, therefore it's only logical for some of the animal-like emotion to still be in us. If you've seen a kid who's nurtured properly by their parents as well as good education, you rarely seen one who'll reacted violently if they're ever enter the state of anger; my guess is violence at first are locked inside of us but later learned in our adulthood years. Even an animal, a cub for example, would go against its nature and acted as if it's a kitten if they're taken away from their parents, then it's pretty clear that violence are learned from and is locked inside of us. Put in note that there are some who can still become violent, even at an extremely young age therefore it's validity aren't proven.

____

- Free-will's existence properly worked via two path. We, as human we given a two path, the good path and the bad path in every decision we made; each path take us to a new path and new decision will come up in the later path.
If we'll ever think about acting violently, there are two path; the path to reacted violently and the path to avoid violence.
That's my only theory on free-will's existence because without the two path theory, the whole concept of free-will is illogical.

- Violence are probably born because God want to see us do things our way, without his decision. He created humans all equally with the same amount of emotion. It's up to us whether or not to use it properly or not. It's only logical for it to be that way because in every positiveness, there's negativity; we have good emotion as well as bad emotion to stable our emotion up. If humans only possessed good emotion, the there will be no point in our existence.

The end.
