Hey guys, thought I'd post this. Just something I was thinking about
Now, the logic my hypothesis follows that of any tech that is developed, whether it be physical, mental, mechanic, or anything else. It's known as "improvement". Now, hear me out.
Space/Time Jutsu, is, of course, Jutsu that effect Space or Time. Now, how do things progress over time? They get better correct? But that is not all. As time goes on and things improve, one must also make decisions on which path to take. There always forks in the road that have to be chosen when making improvements, specifically deciding what to do to make better. Therefore, it only makes sense that over the generations between Tobirama and now that Space/Time Jutsu has gone through several upgrades. I am rather confident of the fact that the techs we see now are greater in power than Tobirama's.
But remember, I said forks in the road must be made during improvement.
Space/Time Jutsu. Look at the word. So far, evey single one we've seen is SPACE! We really haven't seen any TIME jutsu. It seems to me that those that further developed Space/Time Jutsu were more concerned with Space Jutsus and now that's what we have. But back in the day, before we arrived at that fork, when S/T Jutsu was early in development still, I believe Tobirama used TIME Jutsu. Maybe he can reverse it, or slow it down. Maybe he can erase or build parts of it. Maybe extend it, pause it, or fast-forward. Who knows. It's likely he has Space techniques as well though, but not as powerful as those present.
vShorter versionv
I guess what I'm saying is this. I believe Tobirama's S/T Jutsu have to do with Time, and that those that made such Jutsus later on took the Space path when further developing that sort of Jutsu. But, as a forefather of such techniques, Tobirama could likely use both Space AND Time Jutsu, though at a lower level. This gives him something special as those who came later focused on Space; just look at the S/T Jutsus we have now.
