I've noticed a few threads/posts about Kishi not remembering what he wrote, how obito summoning the kyuubi doesn't make sense, or everything he did doesn't make sense.
First off I'd like to show where Kurama was summoned in both chapters:
Chapter 501:

Chapter 607:

My theory is, since it's kind of hard/impossible to walk Kurama into the Hidden Leaf without a single person noticing, Obito had to re-summon him back out. So basically, after Minato teleported away with Kushina, Obito sealed him up until he made his way to the Leaf. The flashback we saw was probably to show us that Obito was extremely mad that Kakashi would go to Rin's grave after he killed her. His rage making him want to follow through with his plan all together. I'm guessing Kishi is trying to show obito had some doubts of doing it, as it's his home town. Or he wanted to see Rin's grave before he jumped completely into the darkness of evil. U_U

my thoughts are that, obito stole the kyuubi from kushina, went back inside the village, saw kakashi, got mad, re-summonded it, and then went out of his way to destroy the village just because of a bad temper. his main plan was to steal the kyuubi and ditch, but he messed up. thats what i think.

It only appears that way in manga because of the shading, in the anime it was already dark out. I'm guessing kishi is trying to emphasize Kurama's evil.

nice!! i guess we should have figured but that sounds about like what exactly happened. and the reason why obito was surprised at minatos attacks was probably because he hadnt seen them much or at all in person. i do think it made him angry to see kakashi talking with rin but that makes it sad...even more reason for me to believe he didnt really kill her.....but i dont know what else could have happened

Not being rude or anything but i knew this a long time ago, it actually shows obito (at least in the ainme anyways) sneak into the village after releasing kurama and then proceed to summon him afterwards. The second part is really interesting and makes for a good motive as to why Obito went and attacked the village instead of just returning back to base. He attacked the village to 1. get even with the leaf and kill Minato in the process and 2. to blame the attack on the uchiha, well thats what i think anyways.
