Theory on the nature of Naruto and Sasuke's powerups

You're probably thinking that Naruto's going to get yang powers and Sasuke is going to get yin powers. After all, there's symbolism that they're grasping the yin and yang aspect of the sage and fits with the theme of their powers right?

However, there's another way this could be interpreted. What if it's the opposite? What if it's the opposite? What if they're both getting both aspects of the sage? Now here me out. First off, here's the thing you need to understand. Hagoromo said that he was about to give Sasuke his power. One might think that it's because the bijus are Naruto's only power. However, there's a problem with that. So why is Naruto grabbing the staff at the same time as Sasuke? Well, here's why. In order to have the sage's chakra effect you, you need the chakras of both brothers.

Naruto and Sasuke grabbing the yin and yang ends may not have been to receive the yin and yang powers, but to grab on to their piece of the sage's power to transfer their chakra to the other. This results in them both obtaining the Hagoromo's power. Hence why the yin and yang are fusing to make 1 image, not 1 image separating to for yin and yang.

Do you see where I'm getting at? They may both be getting the rinnegan! Think about it, Narto's definitely receiving something other than the bijus. Sasuke has to be getting senjutsu since he's going to be fighting Madara, and that's a requirement. He'd have to get it from Naruto or the sage, while Naruto may get some of Sasuke's power.


They won't be carbon copies of each other. They'd have the 6 paths abilities, but here's where I think they'll differ.


Remember how Madara once fused Susanoo with the rinnegan for ridiculously overpowered techniques?

So imagine if Sasuke's power is to fuse the 6 paths abilities like this with perfect susanoo and senjutsu? That'd be hax!


As for Naruto, he'd also have the 6 paths abilities, but wouldn't focus on them as much as Sasuke. I think that he'll focus through the powers of a combination biju mode with the rinnegan powers as support. Also, fun fact.... They only showed them getting up and hid their faces. A way to hide the rinnegan from the readers?

I'm saying rinnegan abilities beyond Madara (unless you count juubi jinchuriki form). I think Naruto would be beyond Nagato though since he'll have the legitimate chakra of the sage's sons, but still significantly weaker than Sasuke's.


Here's the thing, both are likely to have wood style. Sasuke has Hashirama's cells, so with Ashura's chakra, he can probably full utilize it. However, for Naruto, he has all bijus, and the juubi's nature is a tree, so he's equally likely to have wood style as well. Also, I don't think Ashura had a BM. It was probably his yang chakra.

I'm actually glad you posted this because I was pondering the same since the Obito's reveal. Naruto has always had special eyes like Perfect Sage Mode and Bijuu Mode/Bijuu Sage Mode. And Sasuke has a strong enough body to use Jugo's CM effectively. It's like they both have dabbled in the others forte. This could be how Naruto and Sasuke surpass the sons.

But I'm also torn because that would make them just mini versions of RS each, which would effectively nullify their Yin/Yang dichotomy. I'm truly curious to see how this plays out and their OP power ups. Great theory.

I actually didn't mean to say that Ashura had bm, I meant his Bm-like state. And well, I'm not really a fan of Mokuton Sasuke. Now Dsm Sasuke i'd like.

You are also theorizing in a previous post,that both Sasuke and Naruto will awaken a similar repository, with both awakening Mokuton and Rinnegan. This postulation is laughable, not only will this be anti-climatic, but will also give Naruto leagues more power than Sasuke could ever imagine.

I don't even feel the need to go into further detail, this theory is actually quite comical. You fail to comprise Sasuke into the equation fairly. Forgive me, however as far as common sense is concerned, your "theory" will never come into fruition.

I would hope sasuke would get the eye of the juubi (sharingan and ripples) or an upgrade to his sharingan. Rinnegans getting a little played out at this point. As for naruto, he might get that whole ashura Susanno mode or something along those lines. But hey, stranger things have happened.

Of course it makes sense. Each half of the yin yang contains a fragment of its opposite. I think Naruto will have a piece of Indra power and Sasuke a piece of Ashura power along with their respective archetypal predecessors' power. Not sure which piece(s) though...Another thing to consider is that the two reincarnated Indras (Madara/Sasuke) both seem to have sought out or obtained part of Ashura's power. I'm not sure what the significance of that is, but it occurred to me as I was typing

Good idea. That may be what Sasuke gets. However, I doubt Naruto's getting Ashura's cloak. That thing's probably weaker than the mode he'll obviously achieve with the bijus.
