Theory on the Akatsuki

I was reading a thread about how the Akatsuki all abandoned their cloaks in the end. Before they died they took them off. All except for the main two Pain and Konan.

So it got me thinking. Was this there way of saying that they were abandoning the Akatsuki. Were all the character who ripped off their cloak at the end of their life signifying that they didn't want to be part of the Akatsuki anymore?

I thought about this simply because of the fact that the two original members, the ones who actually were there for Peace. Pain and Konan actually believed in their dreams. And kept their banner even in death while the others abandoned the akatsuki's flag.

Or maybe I'm just overthinking this.

I think its because they either got in the way, or they were destroyed and unable to wear.

It might be a recurring theme Kishi has had, bar Konan, but I think its simply symbolism, that they aren't just monsters that kill, they were once Shinobi who turned their back on the world that shunned them.

I believe that the reason is that Pain and Konan were both part of the original akatsuki and it's purpose was different until it became a criminal organization.

I think you could say symbollicly as they came to the end of their lives they showed their own pride, and showed their own ambitions and dreams.

Sasori: To display the ultimate art.

Deidara: To stop the rivalry to his art.

Hidan: Because God or something (Jashin).

Kakuzu: His pride in his age and hatred of the world I guess.

Itachi: For his brother and clan

Kisame: His desire to protect his nakama...finally being the one to die not kill

They all in a way abandoned the goals of Akatsuki and reflected what they were on the inside....though I guess Kisame ended up helping even though he wasn't really doing it "For Akatsuki".

Itachi's cloak got burnt off by Kirin but somehow his inner clothes survived.
Kisame took his off after his torso was blown open by Bee V2 Guillotine
Hidan never had a chance to take it off because he got blown up by Shikamaru
Kakuzu took his off so he could release his hearts
Sasori took his off to activate his puppet
Deidera and his final art work
Obito took his off to change it into his war uniform
Orochimaru took it off after betraying them
Zetsu because he had to split apart
Pain/Konan I don't see why they need to take it off, but they were one of the original Akatsuki.

Some of them did, But other's cloaks were burnt and stuff.

Well he was blown to pieces and he was immortal. So he wasn't expecting to "die" there.
