Theory on How madara stopped edo tensei.

he can use zetsu to do his work (as zetsu can go to anywhere )

Nice theory, I was thinking that Tobi may have been able to communicate through his rinnegan. If you remember how the six paths of pain worked, each individual body that shared chakra with Nagato had the rinnegan, which in turn all shared a link. It's possible that because Madara's rinnegan and Nagato's rinnegan are one in the same, Tobi may have been able to share this information with him via the link between the rinnegans.

I was thinking the same thing. But it does seem that their synchronization is a bit off. There is some discrepency in their respective plans, i would presume. But we will have to wait until their ultimate confrontation.

Okay, let's have a rational look at it for a sec. Tobi's claiming to be Madara... yet Madara himself is clearly dead, since he could be summoned by impure world resurrection. As such, seeing as Tobi apparently possesses all of Madara's powers (although it seems his eye powers are stolen, unlike Madara who merely goes from Sharingan to Rinnegan simply by willing it; Tobi's appear to be transplanted, although he has a high ability and compatibility rate), and is also apparently "immortal", I would conjecture that Madara cloned himself before he dies, but also somehow mixed his own DNA with the first Hokage's DNA, just going off what Tobi said when he fought Konan -- "Izanagi... can only be used by those who possess the powers of both Uchiha AND Senju".

By doing so, he made Tobi immortal, and it could be said that perhaps Tobi meant for the original Madara to be revived -- that may have been part of the plan. As someone else stated, Madara's being able to halt the cancellation of the Edo Tensei and stay alive despite the technique being ended may be due to Tobi cluing him in on the details of the jutsu... that is, assuming Madara was not already familiar with the jutsu. yes, it was "originally" developed by the second (?) Hokage and improved upon by Orochimaru, but Madara states that he had not been killed at the Valley of the End multiple times, so it's possibl he gathered the information on how to take advantage of it before his death... and from that, it could potentially be taken further and said that Madara meant to die, so that by the Edo Tensei he could become properly immortal.

Nope, he was expecting to be revived through rinne tensei by nagato.
Actually madara was shocked to be revived by edo tensei.
