Theory on female shinobi in teams, and the power of rivals

Up until now every set of rivals has had a female ninja involved as well. Now Madara and Hashirama were shown to become the most powerful set of rivals in ninja history, and note, no female assistance whatsoever. My theory is, the more useful the female ninja is in the group, the less powerful the rivals will end up becoming. Looking at Temaris team, it's clear they never became super strong because she was so useful. And then look at kakashi and obito who had rin, whose biggest contribution to the team was dying young. Both of them are now extremely powerful ninjas, some of the strongest ever.

This theory also fits with kishis future plans. Even though Madara and Hashirama never had a female around, Sasuke and Naruto are guaranteed to surpass them if it holds true.
