(This is not about the sannins)Yep the art of Rock Paper Scissors. Each one checks the other so they are all equal in there own way. The same goes for the ninjas in Naruto. There is no one who is all powerful or a "solo king" since every ninja can possibly be beaten. Ex someone who might be able to solo a juubi (hint hint). May not be able to solo other ninjas, so A>B, B<C does not mean A>C. Ex. Kakashi can solo juubi only cuz kumui...yes this is possible if you can absorb the hachibi you can absorb the juubi head, anyway kakashi can't beat minato and minato can't beat the juubi (see abc logic doesn't work). Every jutsu has its own weakness (Itachi). Ahem this includes the man who said it; however, I also believe a lv 10 rock can't be covered by a lv 1 paper so don't expect weak ninjas to win just because they have a way to counter. The best way to become "solo king" is to learn all jutsu. (The more rock learns to be a paper and scissors at a high level the more invincible it will be.) This said the SO6P is the closest to being "solo king."
Until one learns all jutsu solo king is not an official title but a temporary one that can be given to many people.
What do you think?

I tried to make it as short as I could...at least it wasn't a full page. Basically it states some ninjas can beat others and no matter how weird it may seem its possible cuz no one is invincible or a Solo King

This makes sense. For instance, Itachi can solo must people with genjutsu, but some ninja's with MS can counter it and perfect jinchuriki are immune. Itachi focuses heavily on genjutsu so much, that he barely has any ninjutsu.

"Solo King" is a fanfiction title that doesn't actually belong to anyone, but I agree with the context of your paragraph.

That's also one of the major reasons I fell in love with the Naruto series. I was getting so burned out by these anime cliches of "powerlevels" that, when I learned that Naruto used a rock>scissors>paper>rock method to combat along with strategy and circumstances, it got me interested.

Thanks and thanks for the examples. Sometimes in naruto people almost immoratilize their fav character and shut down any path to them being beaten when it is possible they can.

I doubt that he could beat most people with genjutsu alone, although he tries.

If you avoid eye contact, which is possible because people don't fight by having staring contests, then you get around his Sharingan. You'd still have to worry about his finger genjutsu, but Naruto was not only a novice against genjutsu but also had poor chakra control (chakra control is key against genjutsu) and he was able to resist Itachi's sleeping genjutsu, although he didn't have the sufficient skill to break out on his own. Orochimaru also resisted Itachi's paralyzing genjutsu and was about to make a kai handseal to break it. So basically his genjutsu, and genjutsu besides super genjutsus, are generally overrated.
It also doesn't make sense to me for genjutsu to be so powerful, or else all of the legendary ninjas would be genjutsu masters. The Senju dominated the Uchihas and they possessed no resistance to genjutsu.

While Kishimoto regularly uses genjutsu for plot purposes, it has been given some guidelines:

1. Genjutsu works by manipulating the chakra flow to your brain, affecting your five senses. It tricks you into seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and/or tasting whatever the opponent wants, but they aren't real. They are primarily used for subterfuge.

2. You can tell if you're in a genjutsu by paying attention to your chakra. If it's irregular, you're in a genjutsu.

3. You can tell if you're in a genjutsu by paying attention to details, if something's amiss or doesn't make sense, then you're in a genjutsu.

Then there are established ways to counter it:

1. Changing your flow of chakra.

2. Stopping your flow of chakra.

3. Pushing out your chakra.

4. Partner method, having chakra pushed into you to disrupt your chakra flow if you can't do it yourself.

5. Attacking the genjutsu user.

6. Feeling pain to "shock" you, caused by yourself or another.

The fact that so many NB members fail to realize that Itachi was saying that about every jutsu, including his "supposedly unbeatable" ones, is sad.

But yes, I agree with some of what you said, and I think this is part of what makes Naruto interesting. It's a lot to do with match-ups and not always how powerful someone is.
