Based on the evidences and subtle hints in the Manga, I have come to the conclusion that Obito's ultimate fate is redemption, Kakashi will convince him to turn his back on the Eye of the Moon Plan and possibly join Kakashi in the fight against Madara and the Juubi.

I see Obito and Kakashi teaming up to fight Madara and the Juubi, but I do not believe Obito will survive the war, after his redemption he will likely get killed by Madara since the resolution of his character's story has come full circle:

But Obito didn't intend to revive Madara, he intended to use Sasuke's EMS instead, that's why he pushed so hard for Sasuke to acquire Itachi's eyes and get EMS, because he was the intended substitute for Madara:

I agree, but I have trouble seeing him live through it tbh. Sasuke I can see surviving but Obito might end up dying for the right reason. Either way, he deserves redemption.
You know that part where Kakashi wonders what Obito is trying to verify? It's like when Obito was listening to Hinata's words. I have a feeling sine Obito sees a lot of himself in Naruto he's trying to understand why Naruto is not reacting like he did with Rin's death. Kind of like when Orochimaru said that Sasuke did not follow his path so it made him curious.
Or better still, Obito will TnJ Kakashi, and Kakashi will joined the axis of Evil to twist the fate of the prolonged battle and to ensure the manga will reached its 1000th edition....
