That's what this thread is all about. People will do anything if they have a good enough reason. I just have not come up with a good enough reason that would be satisfying for everybody who reads this thread. And I understand that. So it is a matter of opinion whether it's possible to reach a scenario where they will end up fighting.

The characters are their own people and the reason has to be good enough to satisfy the characters even if it might not make complete sense to a reader or two (satisfying everybody is just too huge a task to undertake when you have such a gigantic audience). The characters have their own inner drives and motives, some of which might be kept secret and unknown to the readers. So not being able to convince you that Naruto and Sakura are going to have an epic battle is not that important, but I can always keep doing my best which is why I can still continue to make my argument.

Sasuke was and still is kind of an enigma even though we're only just starting to get a little bit more of a picture of him after all these years. Remember that Sasuke and Naruto were in the same position as Naruto and Sakura are; close friends and allies who would never fight each other like that. But they still ended up fighting a very deadly fight because Sasuke had a good enough reason to.

Relationship between Naruto and Sakura is completely different than relationship between Naruto and Sasuke. They are rivals, they were always competing against each other, and Sasuke was deadly jelous of Narutos rapid growth in power. When Sasuke decided to abondon Konoha the battle between them became inevitable.

I think that we understand way way less about Sakura than we do about Sasuke. What backstory does Sakura have? Flowers and a story about her big forehead. She could have ANYTHING going on inside her head. Where has Inner Sakura been up to all this time?? She cries a lot, I think that's a parallel to Sasuke's stewing and jealousy. Her depression has been building up all this time. Did you see her expression in that one panel the last time she was even seen in the manga? She's about to crack.

I understand what you are saying, but still, the idea of Naruto vs Sakura fight (serious fight, not some sparring) is as probable as the idea of Naruto joining Madaras and Obitos site. Not to mention that Naruto wouldnt be able to lay his hand on her.
