Yeah that's what I mean exactly, he can use jutsus based on those elements but he dosn't have a chakra nature of each of those elements, he's known for knowing a thousand jutsu or something like that I believe, and so is Kakashi.
Anyway, if you're still not convinced of Naruto using Mokuton then I suggest you check this thread, this guy have explained the whole thing quite well and he already did make a correct prediction about Sasuke getting Rinnegan in the past

In Kakashis case, yeah he doesn't possess it. But Hiruzen has actual mastery of all five elements. That example kinda proves my point, ya know? Sharingan allows people to use elements that are not their own, as far as I know nothing else makes up for that.
And I read his theory too, as far as the other prediction, numerous people called Sasuke getting rinnegan. It seems to me like that thread is based on Narutos yang chakra affecting the zetsus, but that doesn't prove he himself has mokuton. Yang release is entirely separate from mokuton, and his yang simply strengthened the mokuton they inherently had. Sorta like naruto boosting sasukes fire techniques with his wind release, I think yang is a means to enhance mokuton, they're both life oriented releases IMO, but having one doesn't mean having the other.
