[Theory] Minato has Sage Mode.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Let the flaming commence.

However, I honestly believe that Minato -NEEDS- to have more than Rasengan and FTG. I mean, Rasengan is a fine jutsu but it is nowhere near the power scaling of the current Manga.

As for FTG, it has its weaknesses. I want to believe Minato had more than 2 jutsus.

So, let's analyse the facts.

The toads knew Minato. Jiraiya taught him the Summoning Jutsu and it was probably Jiraiya that gave him the Toad Contract.

Minato, at some point in his life, trained Jiraiya on how to use the Rasengan. Why would Jiraiya not teach Minato how to use Sage Mode?

Minato is also a Sealing expert. Sealing jutsus require a -TON- of chakra control ( he single handedly kept Kurama inside Kushina during Naruto's birth ) so the balancing nature chakra with your own chakra part shouldn't be so hard for him, seeing as how he has perfect chakra control.

The stamina part... Minato has shown to have both incredible durability and stamina. In the night he fought Tobi he used FTG several times, teleported a Bijuudama, tagged Obito, Rasenganed Obito, used Contract Seal on Obito, summoned Gamabunta, teleported Kurama, used RDS and sealed Kurama inside him, got impaled by Kurama and used the Eight Trigrams Seal which is made of two four symbol seals.

Let's not forget Base Naruto could not summon Bunta on his own. He needed Kyuubi chakra. Minato did this very easily and he does not have the Sage's body. ( unless we get trolled and Minato is Tobirama's lost grandson or something. ew. )

I really believe Minato has a chakra/durability that could allow him to use Sage Mode.

I believe that cloak was left by Minato at Mount Myoboku ages ago, when he was training with the toads. As to why he left it there and Naruto took it - no clue. But it is certain toads wouldn't have a random Naruto-sized cloak in their village and I can't see Naruto sowing his own cloak.

As such, I believe that red cloak was Minato's.

I think it's Kishi's way of foreshadowing it. Everything happens for a reason in this manga. Naruto did not even know Minato was his father when he wore that cloak, yet the fact that it perfectly resembles Minato's must mean something.

If he does have Sage Mode, then he likely never mastered it, as Fukasaku said Sage Naruto surpassed those before him.

And I really doubt Kishimoto would make Minato's face all ugly like he did with Jiraiya.

Not mastering it doesn't necessarily mean he has an ugly mug.

He may have been unable to fuse with the toads in it. Who knows?

Plausible but highly doubt it,Kishi will probably add some more space time jutsu or w.e when he gets to the battlefield,idc if Minato has sage mode,I would like to see what Minato's chakra infinity eg wind,lighting etc and if he can use some jutsu like that on a huge scale like how Madara used firestyle and it was HUGE if Minato could like use Wind like that or something then id be happy

It depends if Minato actually took the time to learn it, and if he actually succeeded in perfecting it.

He definitely has the potential of perfecting it, but I don't see how he even had time to learn it. He spent over 3 years developing Rasengan, before that he was taught many fuin jutsu, when he was jonin Obito said that senses is always on missions, and before that he was probably mastering FTG.

As for Sage Mode, Naruto mastered it in a few days/weeks. Minato had plenty of time to do it, too.

He prolly does have sm but the thing is it would take him as long as jiraiya did running around with nagato to activate... And I don't think jutsu/techniques taking that long is his style... Is why he create rasengan, something fast without hand signs and perfect for his skill set

The toads stated when naruto learned it that only him and jariya had ever learned it. So it highly doubtful.
Minato problly hand other jutsu. I'm sure he has some kind if nature release plus he problly knows more sealing jutsu.
But he was boss with ftg so I would be surprised if he use a lot of tijutsu.

If Naruto knew the 4th Hokage was a Sage/Toad contract user he would've started asking questions.

doesn't Naruto already know Jiraiya was Minato's sensei? why would he get suspicious?
even in thoughts, Minato was never mentioned together with anything close to Sage Mode, but Jiraiya always was:

not sure Minato has enough chakra to into Sage Mode just because he summoned Bunta, there are many characters in the manga who can summon animals as big or bigger than Bunta.
