Great theory but one thing is confusing me since Madara said that he don't want his brother to die so it doesn't seems the case for me here.

Madara loved his brother and Izuna's death fueled his anger and hatred towards senju's which made Madara what he is now IMO. But you might as well be right here and anything is possible in Naruto

I agree he wanted to protect Izuna more than anything but in 624 Izuna seemed quite stubborn to me.... Also Madara wanted to stop the blood shed from his childhood.... I think Madara chose to stop the blood shed over Izuna.... Also Kishi sama trolled us by not showing any Izuna death scene which keeps the possibilty of Madara killing Izuna open.... It might be revealed by Madara later on.... :D :D

Unlikely. What was the point fighting whole senju then if madara wanted peace?
He wanted peace no doubt, but rational ideal < emotional need(revenge)

I already thought he might have killed him because of that wound was already killing him...

and he wanted to be stronger, those eyes...:snick: takes the eyes out of those sockets..

and Madara is doing all of this because he couldn't live with himself for killing his own lil bro

or for not being able to protect him...he feels ashamed, and wants to make it up to izuna......nice btw!!

Madaras psycho, who knows his true motives. I think he took izunas eyes cuz he thought it would give him enough strength to finally defeat the senjus. Whether or not he killed izuna for them or not is mystery. I believe that after that new powe failed him, his last tactic was to dry to weaken the senju by requesting that either hashi or tobi be killed not for the reason he claimed, but because they are the two strongest out of the senju. By taking one of them out, it would weaken the senju and maybe give the young Uchihas more of a chance against the senju. Just my opinion.

Yours is an interesting theory. Some points are really considerable.

Absolutely love it. I hadn't even considered that possibility, I was blinded by the fact that Madara loved his brother too much. Well done for making me see this perspective.

This is an outstanding theory, I agree that Madara is merely testing Hashirama if he was willing to take his own life or his brother's in the name of peace without actually wanting either to die, I am also suspicious concerning the circumstances of Izuna's death because of the conflicting statements between Tobi and Itachi, not to mention that Izuna's actual death was never shown, Madara sacrificing his brother for the sake of peace mirror's Itachi's sacrifice in killing his clan for the sake of peace, your theory is indeed very plausible, good job!

Interesting....
nice theory. I made a little theory about how the flashback would go down, and that hashi would try to kill tobirama(possibly himself as someone made me think) and madara stops him.
Hmm interesting. Possible really. Nice thread :)
Great theory

nice btw!!

no madara wants a life of a senju either tobirama who killed his brother or hashirama the guy he hates the most and wants to erase him from his past

Good theory; even if it does not came out to be true; it still makes sense.
