No izanagi must be active before IT is cast so that everything that happens after can be rewritten. It can't be cast after mugen tsukuyomi is in effect because the izanagi will be caught and paralyzed.

No there is no alternative escape route to IT. You can only permanently block it up front. Once yiu get caught even if it is a decoy then it's GG.

If it's activated before-hand, then maybe, but I find it hard to believe that a Sharingan technique can counter Mugen Tsukyomi.
