Theory:Itachi saw Indra in Lord Sasuke

I believe ,itachi also came across indra history in the fire temple and other ancient places .When Sasuke was born,itachi probably did detect indra powers through his sharingan.iF naruto can sense indra through sage mode ,sharingan should do the same.Itachi probably take special interest in Sasuke only because he did view the uchiha clan as garbage in the past

The destruction of the uchiha clan,was itachi method of Sasuke developing his powers in order to unlock indra powers.Itachi knew he will not kill Naruto because he did not have nothing to do with his clan death.Itachi was the main target.Itachi also knew that Sasuke will use his eyes afterwards to unlock EMS.Itachi stated that when he get Sasuke eyes (indra power through sharingan) he will surpass Madara because itachi would be able to get access to indra power.
