[Theory] Hashirama's death.

Here is my theory on how he died. enjoy

Hashirama Senju shodaimeicon: (千手柱間, Senju Hashirama) renowned as the God of Shinobi was thought to be killed in battle in one of the wars. Which i do not agree upon. If Madara Uchiha (Strongest Uchiha ever) couldn't be him then i think no one could. If someone would have killed Hashirama that would mean that he/she is stronger then madara.

The way i think he died was cause by an illness , yes you read that right. By the one and only called DEPRESSION.
Here are some clues on why i think so

Through the manga at which madara and hashirama are kids to being adults we see hashi going to random points of being deppresed.

we see madara and hashi again

Madara points out his weakness.

As an adult we still see the random depression.

This is the biggest clue where madara points it out so it would mean after killing his best friend hashirama fell into a great depression and died and yes people can die from depression.

I just remembered about kakuzus attempt at assassinating the 1st hokage, maybe a powerful team of lightning ninja from back then killed him in his sleep...
Only other thing I can think of is old age because I dont think anything works on him when hes awake

there is a chance, he might saw the future madara told of, when he killed him.Just like he said the senju trying to wipe out the entire uchiha clan which results in possibilities of civil war,hashirama fell guilt for that,which led him to his dead

Good theory. Very possible but I believe it was probably bipolar or manic depressive because if you notice he's happy one minute(manic) then depressed and sulking the next( depressed). Therefore he probably killed himself.

I personally think he took his own life as a last ditch effort to maintain peace... Hashi was looking to the future... He appointed Tobirama with the title of Hokage and he set out to the other villages to promote peace and to ensure the balance of power. So he spread out the tailed beasts he had in his possession. After defeating Madara he said to Kurama he was too powerful to rome free. Now he obviously didn't mean too powerful for him since he already pwned Perfect Susano and Kurama at the same time; not to mention the other tailed beasts. So he seals the last tailed beast into Mito thus ensuring Konoha's future and takes his own life. Again, why? because some Kage must have pointed out the fact that while he lives, he would be tipping the balance of power towards Konoha, since he was considered a God of shinobi and was more OP than a tailed beast. So Hashi had no other option but to do it. It seems far fetched, but the Raikage demanded Lord Haishi take his own life after killing a mere fodder (who tried and failed to kidnap Hinata) or risk starting a war.
